It being over a year since I was sentenced to life imprisonment, none of my family members has come to see me.

At first I thought maybe they can't come for some reasons or probably they are angry with me but then other prisoners like me who have committed more grievous crimes than me have been visited so many times by their families, friends and relatives.

I wondered why my own family couldn't pay me a visit at least just once. I think they don't want to see me because I did what no one has ever done in my entire family.

God should has mercy on me I didn't do it intentionally it was out of jealousy that made me to do it.

I swear with my blood I regret doing it, I regret allowing my anger to control me. If I had another chance I'd make amends of my deeds but it's too late to turn the hand of time.

Daniel, forgive me for taking the soul I never gave to you from you, it wasn't intentionally and you know very well that I'd do anything for you. I never meant to hurt you nor snatched your life away from you it was an accident which I regret so much.

I still remember the old times we spent together, the first day we had s*x, the same day we took an oath. The same path that made me stupidly and angrily stabbed you.

I should have left your house that very day when I caught you and that girl, I should've pretended like I didn't see anything.

I know I should've but instead I allowed my anger to take total control over me which made me a murderer.
I plead this day you've mercy on me

I sat on my small prison bed facing wall, the lyrics of MAN DOWN by RIHANNA was all I could sing in my heart with tears rolling down my cheeks as I remember the good times I had spent with Daniel

Why did I do it? Why? What came over me? What kind of anger was that? All the time I spent with Daniel from the very first day we met to the day I stabbed him kept ringing in my head like a bell.

His adorable smile, beautiful dimples, gap teeths and unique voice kept flashing in my head like flashlight.

I hate myself now, if I had walked away the day I caught him with that girl he'd has been a mad man running around Nigeria completely naked instead of that my stupid head pushed me to do the most regretful act.

"Hey you come here!", A huge voice said behind me, I didn't answer or turned because I thought he was referring to my co-prisoner

"Hannah! Am talking to you", he said almost yelling as he drags me down from the bed forcefully which made me hits my left leg on the bed

"Aaaaar!!", I groaned in pain as I managed to stand properly

"Take it easy with her", one of the prison guard said

"Will you shut up? Idiot!", He yelled at the young man as he handcuffed me then dragged me out like the common murderer that I was

He took me to a small room to behold my family waiting impatiently for me, he pushed me inside like a sack of rice, I almost fall but my elder brother was fast enough to hold me.

"You've just three minutes so be fast", he said and left.

I stared at my family, tears poured out of my eyes. My younger sister hugged me even though I was smelling, my elder brothers did same.

My mum stared at me in years

"Hannah, this isn't you", she finally said after a long stares for about 30 seconds.

"It's me mum", I said

My brother help me to sit on the small chair in the room.

"Why did you do it? Where did you get such courage from? None of your brothers have ever done such, why did you do it Hannah?", My mum asked

"Jealousy and anger made me to do it", I said

"Do you love Daniel that much to the extend of committing murder because of him?", She asked

"Not that?", I said

"Then what? Why did you do it then?", She asked

"Because we took an oath", I said

"What? Hannah! An oath?", My mum and siblings exclaimed

"Yes an oath, he promised me that he'll never cheat on me, he swore to go mad nakedly in the whole if Nigeria if another woman sees his nakedness but he failed to keep his promise", I said

"And you stabbed him? Hannah why?", My mum asked in tears

"Why didn't you allowed him to go mad?", My elderest brother asked

"Like I said before it was because I was angry and I couldn't control it anyway, why is dad not here with you?", I asked

"The family of the girl you murdered is hunting us as a matter of fact, we barely close our eyes to sleep", my elder brother said

"So that's why it took you all one year to visit me?", I asked

"Yes, we are facing hard time because of what you did but we can't abandon you here that's why we came", my younger sister said.

"Hmm I get, is Daniel truly dead like his mum said? And where is dad?", I asked

"I think so but his corps is nowhere to be found including the girl's corps", my mum said

"Maybe they've buried them", I said

"Even if they've buried Daniel I'm sure they haven't buried the girl if not her family won't be hunting us like animals", my mum said

"What? Is that why dad isn't here with you?", I asked

"Your dad..........", That useless good for nothing prison guard's huge voice interrupted my mum

"Your time is up", he said dragging me

"Please sir just 30 seconds please sir", my family pleaded

He didn't even looked at them he just continue dragging me out till we get to the door. I looked back at my amazing family, tears poured out of my eyes like water for that's all I could do.

"Sister!", My younger sister called aloud as he finally drags me out to the prison room again.



Be cautious of the things you do so that you won't regret anything in future hence our past, do come back sometimes to hurt us in one way or the other.

The greatest thing that can destroy ones life is anger, if you cannot control your anger and allow it to control you then you are as good as dead.

I was busy preparing my husband's favourite food, he will be home today he has been away from home for two weeks. He went to Scotland for a business trip.

He told me he'd be home today so I decided to prepare his favourite food which is bitter leaf soup and pounded yam.

I was preparing the food peacefully when an unfamiliar voice came from behind, it was a female voice.

"What are you doing in my kitchen?", She asked as I turned to her

A young average light skin girl stands before me she crossed her hands on her chest.
"Who are you please and what do you mean by your kitchen?", I asked

"My name is Ezinne am Donald's new wife to be, once he return from travel we'll get married", she said with so much proud

I stared at her from head to toe like seriously this dirty pig just referred to herself as Donald's wife to be.

"Since when did you become Donald's wife to be? Who are you cause this is my husband's house", I said

"Donald's mother brought me, once my Donald comes back he'll go pay my bridal price", she said smiling

Like seriously some girls are very stupid just imagine how this slt is calling another woman's husband her own. Wonder shall never end.

Wait a minute so the two weeks I've been away since Donald hasn't be home this wicked mother in-law of mine brought in another girl for Donald.

"Wait, did you say Donald's mother brought you here?", I asked

"Yes I brought her here for my son since you're barren and can not give my son a child and I need grandchildren", came my mother in-law's voice as she walk into the kitchen

"Why? What have I done to you? Am I the giver of children?", I asked holding back my tears that was about to roll down my cheeks

"Since you are not the giver of children you can as well go back to your parents till when your God decide to answer you", she said in a mocking way

"So because I've not been about to give my husband a child that's why you brought another woman for him?", I said allowing my tears to roll down

"Yes oh because I need grandchildren, for good eight years in marriage nothing to show not even a miscarriage and people will say am wicked whenever I call you a man. Prove to the world that you're not a man by missing your period just once, Hannah", she said.

"Mum, am home", came Donald's voice. I was happy that he was back from travel at least he'd save me from his mother.

"His mother and Ezinne rushed out of the kitchen I followed behind, I stopped at my track when Ezinne hugged Donald.

"Oh baby welcome back", she said leaning her head on his chest while he wrapped his hands around her waist.

"Thanks honey", he said and peck her forehead

This can't be true, Donald isn't having an affair with this girl in fact he is not planning to marry her.

I closed my eyes and shook my head negatively refusing to believe what my mind was telling me. I opened my eyes, his glance was fixed on me

"Donald, you're not planning to take another wife, are you?", I asked, he turned to his mother without answering me.

"Mum, what is she doing here?" He asked

"I don't know I was surprised to see her here", his mum said

You this slt what are you doing in my house?", He yelled

"Donald, you told me you'd be home today so i came to prepare your food", I said

"After sleeping with different men in my assent? No wonder you're barren because you fornicate too much", he said

"What? Donald! Who told you such big lies?", I asked surprisely

"Shut up! You think I don't know all your secrets right? Shameless slut", he said

I can't believe this, my own husband the same man that always console me whenever his mother is troubling my life is now the one accusing me wrongly even calling me a slut.

God, what is my crime? Why can't you give me a child of my own so that all these insults and accusations will stop.

"Donald, whoever that told you such thing is a liar you know I'd never thought of hurting you talk more of cheating on you please believe me", I said in tears

"Shut up barren woman my son do not wants you anymore, the charm you used on him has fade so go back to your miserable parents", my mother in-law said

"Honey, she slaps me today when I asked her what she was doing in my kitchen", Ezinne said, Donald's eyes suddenly become red.

"Blood of Jesus! When did I slap you?", I asked

"You've the guts to lay your dirty hands on my wife to be how dare you?", Donald asked as he came to me and held my two hands

"My queen, come and slap her till you're satisfied", he said

Ezinne smiled wickedly as she came close to me and start slapping me, I can't even count how many slaps she gave me but I know I received a lot slaps from her

All my face became red, my eyes were swelled you know fair people easily get red whenever they are being hit by someone or something? That's exactly who I'm.

When Ezinne was done slapping me Donald and his mother throw me out, it's suddenly start raining heavily, I trekked to bus stop inside that heavy rain in tears.

I wasn't allowed to enter any bus because my clothes were wet and I didn't have money to logged in hotel because Donald collected my ATM card and I had just 5k with me that would take me to Enugu.

Only God knows where I slept that night till the next day morning before I was able to board a bus to Enugu.

I was heartbroken, frustrated and confused.

Getting to my father's house I met the unexpected.

THE END

Moral lessons:

(1.) Don't be so fast to judge someone by his or her present predicament because God can change a man story within a blink of an eye.

(2.) Learn to be patient with whoever you're married to, same thing goes to mother in-laws stop troubling your son's wife simply because she hasn't been able to give your son a child.

(3.) Always remember that as the earth turn around so everything in it turns around which means what goes around comes around.

(4.) Don't do to people what you know others won't do to you hence be careful of the way you treat others.

Seating on the ground at the beach, I closed my eyes and feel the cool breeze pass through me.
Yeah, right through me.
My hair flew due to the breeze.
I opened my eyes and and met with reality.
A reality I have to live with for the rest of my life ________ at least that's what I think.
A smile tugged at my lips at the giggles of the children playing on the beach.
They were running about, laughing, playing with their family.
I sighed when I remembered my bother, Boyce.
He's just 5 years old but has to live with the same reality.
A reality that he's an orphan.
That our mom and dad are dead and me, his sister is no where to be found.
But I'm here, right here at the beach.
I'm always with him ___ except that he can't see me.
No one can see me.
I'm a ghost after all.
Mom and dad died in an accident but Boyce and I survived.
I mean only Boyce survived cause I'm good as dead.
We were at the back seat when the accident happened.
Boyce survived but had a surgery just above his upper leg.
He survived the surgery but his leg buckles and he sometimes looses his balance or trip and fall.
I on the other hand, I don't know if I survived it or not.
I mean, if I'm dead, why aren't I with my parents? Why am I still in this world where I see everyone but no one sees me?
Boyce is now living with my aunt and his family.
My aunt and her husband are kind but their children are the opposite.
They always pick on my brother and make him cry.
I wish I can help him.
I just wish he could see me.
I got my butt off the ground, Dusting the sand off my butt.
My eyes widened when a little boy ran pass, through me.
Oh I forgot, I'm a ghost so they're free to walk right through my heart.
I need to rummage eveyrhwere in Australia.
I could maybe find someone or something that might see me.
But first, I need to see Boyce.
I closed my eyes and imagine being at my aunt's house.
I opened my eyes and I was at her porch.
Without ringing the bell, I walked through the door.
I eye searched everywhere, looking for the children.
My aunt only have two naughty twin boys.
Jayden and Kayden, they're 7.
Just two years older than my brother.
I heard their giggles coming from the backyard and I went there.
I flared up when I saw my brother, sobbing on the floor.
Jayden and Kayden were laughing at him.
I walked over to my brother and touched him.
His head snapped up at me and I smiled at him but he looked away, searching everywhere.
For a moment I thought he saw me.
OK he didn't see me but he felt my touch.
I touched him again and he flinched.
I chuckled at his reaction.
He looked everywhere, looking for the person that touched him.
Seeing Jayden and Kayden far from him, he sprung up and ran in making Jayden and Kayden burst into another round of laughter.
OK I'm gonna have to teach these kids a lesson.
I went over to them, staring at them.
Jayden had neat blonde hair, grey eyes and a lousy mouth.
Kayden on the other hand also had blonde hair but rough blonde hair, brown eyes and chubby cheeks.
I knocked Jayden's head not too hard but a little hard.
"why did you knock me " he snarled at Kayden.
" I didn't " Kayden defended.
I smiled and knocked Kayden's head too.
"I said I didn't so why'd you knock me " Kayden snarled.
"I didn't, you did " Jayden said.
"no I didn't, you did " they argued and started a fight.
I nodded negatively, closed my eyes and appeared in a street.
I just have to keep looking, searching for that unique person that can see me.
I just hope there is.

"woooooooo!! "everyone cheered when I won another shot in the lacrosse.
I feel so proud seeing all the girls in my school drooling over me.
I'm the hottest guy in school, the best lacrosse player.
It feels good seeing all the girls run after me like swan of bees.
My team carried me up with glee cheering and clapping.
As long as I'm here, my team will always be the best.
I sighted my sister Ava, coming towards me with a stern look and I know what will happen next.
"hey guys put me down "I whispered to my team.
Bexley my best friend traced my eyes and saw Ava coming then he chuckled.
He knows Ava very well and I'm not at all ready for an harassment in front of everyone.
I mean I'm the schools' idol.
They dropped me and I ran to the backyard of the school.
Phew! That was close.
"little lad" I heard Ava's voice behind me.
She came to me and held my ear, gently twisting it.
"ouch you're hurting me " I cried out.
"you messed up my bedroom " she yelled.
"my room was a complete mess so I had to use yours " I answered.
"I can't find my hair brush " she complained still pulling my ear.
" cause it's here with me " I answered.
"you broke my hair dryer " she complained.
"it was a mistake " I defended.
"you always mess up everything and you always say it's a mistake " she half yelled.
"OK OK OK, it'll never happen again " I said.
She let go of me and hit my head then left.
Phew! Thank God no one saw this or else it will trend in school.
That's what you get for having a crazy big sister.

I've been rummaging everywhere and ended up in a school backyard.
A girl was pulling her brother's ear for some mistake.
So funny.
The sister walked away and I stood there staring at the guy.
I came out from behind a flower and stood where he'll be able to pass through me.
Gosh! he's so cute and hot!
He looks just like a Greek god.
"I know that, but you better stop drooling " the cute guy said and walked away.
Did I say that out loud?
How embarrassing.

"Am sure his going to get hard ,when he see you"yonna whispered to my ears and i blushed

"Stop it yonna"i said shyly

"Ohh dont tell me you guys have'nt done it" she said and i nodded

"Well me and tim are on it every single day"she said using her hands to demostrate

"See you honey she said and left ,well i have three hours before the date so i still have time to relax

i began to bring out the clothes yonna and i bought when my eye caught something,i was a red lingerie ,very beautiful ,but i cant wear it ,not even under a cloth ,yonna is very silly ,i put the ligerie in my closet and began preparing ,,,i wore my silver short gown that hugged my body,bringing out my shape ,i brushed my black hair down and applied some make up ,i wore my heels and picked my small silver purse and looked at the dressing mirror i looked breath taking,i took my phone and walked downstairs catwalking ,i opened the door and saw danny in a black tex with his hair falling to his face ,he looked really handsome ,
"Nana" he said in disbelief ,I chuckled and he pecked my cheeks and opened the door for me and i entered ,Danny kept looking at me through out the ride like he has seen ghost
"You have to stop danny "i said

"Am sorry nana ,you look too beautiful,i cant take my eyes off you"he said in a baby tone and i went all red immeditely,,we arrived at the venue and the place was empty there only two chairs with candle light as decoration ,it was really breath taking and romantic ,,okay maybe next time i wont look this beautiful because danny cant help it ,,he pulled out a chair for me and we placed our order,danny kept stealing kisses and kept telling me how beautiful i am,this is the best night of my life i wish it never end ,soon we were done and we head out,

"Were are we going to"i ask

"Its a suprise '"he said and kiss me ,,soon we arrived at the airport ,he took me to his private jet and we entered ,,i was speechless ,,his indeed a billonarie ,,the jet landed not too long and we came out and entered another car with guards behind welcoming us ,danny blindfold my eyes and led me out

"Are you ready "he asked and i nodded

Take the blindfold off he said and i took it off,we were in a hall with decoration and roses everywhere, and then i saw "WILL YOU MARRY ME" i looked at danny and he knelt down in front of me opened the box and i saw a shining diamon ring ,,tears kept falling from my eyes
"Yes danny i will marry you"i said he slipped the ring in my hand and jumped exictedly ,he raised me up and kissed me pasionately ,i heard cheers and clapping when i saw yonna ,tim ,carl,rosa,my mum ,my dad ,my friends at the resturant and some other people who looked influential but i dont know them,i kept hugging each and everyone of them ,,this is the best day ever
"Nana this is my mom and this his my dad"danny said introducing me to the old couples they looked stinking rich ,Before i could utter a word the woman hugged me passionately and i returned the hug
"You are really beautiful"she said and i bluhsed
"you are welcome to the family" danny's dad said and kissed my both cheeks

we were at the hotel from which we will be flying out for our honeymoon ,it been a wonderful day and now i am Mrs levrato ,Danny came out of the bathroom while i took the lingerie yonna bought for me and went into the bathroom,,am really nervous ,i took a shower like yonna said and wore the lingerie ,i stared at my firm b***s and body at the mirror before finally having the courage to walk out ,danny gaze met mine and he looked at me immediately ,i was shy because of what i was putting on ,,i walked to the bed and he grabbed my waist immediately and kissed me ,he began kissing my neck and giving me soft bites while his hands were on my b***s ,he placed me on the bed and removed the lingerie to my waist and started sucking my boods while i moaned in pleasure ,he removed the lingerie finally and used his fingers to rub my c**t ,and he could feel how wet i am already ,he began kissing from my b***s playing with my ni**le ,he kissed down to my waist and started sucking my p***y whlie i kept moaning and thrailing my hand through his hair ,he brought out his fully eret d**k

"mom are you sure daddy can swim "My daughter alicia asked

"Yes hunni" i replied
As we put danny in the pool,,like he did to me some years back

Danny yelled as he barged into the room wet ,while me and alicia started laughing and high five
He ran to us and i help my waist and screamed in pain
"I think the baby is coming"i yelled at danny

"Alicia go get my car keys "danny said to his daughter

"Am having a little brother

I dont even know what to do ,it seems nana is mad at me but shes didnt say anything before she ran away ,i stood up and followed her when i saw carl

"Hey danny ,did nana go this way"he asked pointing at the restroom direction

"Yes ,i am...he didnt even let me finish before he started running to the direction ,i ran behind ,him until we say a girl struggling with a huge guy ,i quickly pushed carl aside a picked a big wood and hit it on the guys head and he collapsed ,,wait i recognise him it was that guy we have fight with on our way to the market,,,i quickly ran to nana and held her up ,her clothes were badly tore ,reavling some part of the body ,i quickly removed them for her ,pulled my t shirt and wore it for her ,her body was bruised badly and tears kept falling from her eyes

"Call the cops"i said to carl

"Nana" i called but no reply instead she fainted,i quickly carried her to the car with the help of tim and yonna and rushed to the hospital,she was admitted immediately

"She will be fine"yonna said and patted my back

Carl came in immediately with rosa

"How is she "carl asked immediately

"She still inside the doctors are attending to her" i replied

"I just cant believe you allowed this happen to her ,just one day that she with you ,you couldnt protect her " carl said dragging my colar

"Stop it carl" tim yelled and rosa took carl to sit down ,i couldnt even uter a word all my minds and prayers were on nana and i regret even telling her anything

"Doctor how is she" i said as i rushed to the doctor who just came out of nana ward
