π STUDENT ORGANIZATION SPOTLIGHT: Management Consulting At UCLA π
Our network of experienced professionals provide best-in-class advisory services to cultivate a world-class training environment at UCLA by strategically sourcing our talent from the most competitive students paired with the most talented underrepresented students.
We will be offering a unique recruitment opportunity this quarter and by challenging the status quo of consulting organization recruitment at UCLA and allowing a majority of our initial qualified applicants to actively engage in our projects as a way to determine whether each candidate is willing to learn and provide meaningful contributions to the organization.
We believe that your work ethic, rather than your resume and ability to interview/network, is a more valuable method of assessing our candidates, and their long-term success within our organization.
Our training methods are similar to those used by the Big 4. Each recruit will get paired with a specific mentor within our organization, and will rotate to a new engagement every three weeks to ensure that each candidate receives a robust training experience that will enhance their business acumen and professional portfolios regardless of whether they are ultimately recruited or not.
A positive engagement review by an assigned project manager will lead to a new engagement assignment and a negative review will allow a candidate to improve in a specific area. Those who are unwilling to improve will no longer be allowed to move onto another engagement while those who make it to the end of the quarter with three positive engagement reviews will receive a return offer for the following quarter, and will be allowed to officially call themselves members of our organization.
