Based in Antelope and Lancaster County youth participate in a program includes a six-week apprenticeship and six weeks of on-the-job training in classic car repair and shop skills, along with soft skills training provided by The Los Angeles County Office of Education. In honor of August being Family Fun Month, we have to spotlight Camp Tawonga and their commitment to "serving as a leader in Jewish camping, fostering in children and families a deep connection to nature, community and Judaism."
Our client L.L. Foundation for Youth was able to support Camp Tawonga in providing hundreds of teens of Jewish faith whose families are unable to afford full Camp fees. These teens and young adults were given the tools to navigate mental health issues, find their footing and become their best selves.

Did you know that July is ? This month commemorates the implementation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
We see this important work in action with our client L.L. Foundation for Youth's grantee, the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). L.L. Foundation for Youth was able to support CAF distribute grants to young adult athletes between the ages of 13-26 living in Southern California. These grants provided adaptive sports equipment, sports prosthetics, and expenses for coaching, training, and competition travel for youth with permanent physical disabilities!

We can't let June end without acknowledging our client's work with the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA). LLFY has been able to support CHLA with their Transyouth Program which provided over 30 BIPOC and transgender young adults with individual and group level psychotherapy services.
Pride Month is currently celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. Pride month aims to recognize the impact that le***an, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals have had throughout time! 🌈
