September is the start of Hispanic Heritage Month and what better way to celebrate Latinx culture than with wine! Aborigen is a small family winery run by father, son duo Hugo and Lucas D’ Acosta located in Valle de Guadalupe Mexico 🇲🇽
Hugo D’Acosta is a renowned Mexican winemaker, often referred to as the “father of modern Mexican wine.” He’s a significant figure in the Valle de Guadalupe region, the heart of Mexico’s wine industry. While Hugo brings his knowledge and experience Lucas brings a fresh experimental approach embracing the minimal intervention techniques of the younger generations aka the “hipster/cool kid” tequnique. Together they make creative, delicious, wines representing their historic region that dates back all the way to the 1500s.
WHITE: 100% Chenin Blanc, fresh and lively with notes of green apples, ripe lemons, and fresh herbs.
RED: 92% Grenache/8% Petite Sirah, an earthy red with notes of raspberry, dark chocolate, and leather.

It’s WEDNESDAY and this month’s wine is coming to us from a family owned and operated (founded in 1890, no big deal) winery from the gentle hills of Perugia in UMBRIA ITALY 🇮🇹
The 2022 “Titus” Grechetto - 2022 is aged in Stainless Steel Tanks and has beautiful notes of tart citrus, chamomile flowers, ripe peaches and honeydew melon 🌼🍋🍑🍈
Chiorri Saliato - 2021 “Super Umbrian!!!” Is 60% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot, 10%Cabernet Sauvignon and spends 12 months in neutral oak. It has beautiful dark cherry and purple floral aromas, delicate spices, and just a hint of oak 🍒🌹🥧🍷

Originally from South Africa winemaker Dieter Cronje has made the Santa Maria Valley his home. His 9 to 5 is making world class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at Presqu’ile, but Riding Monkey, his personal label, is where he can experiment and have some fun. These small batch, minimal intervention, Central Coast wines are absolutely delicious and he’ll be pouring a flight of 4 of them for you THIS THURSDAY 8/15 FROM 6-9pm 🍷🍾✨

It’s WEDNESDAY 🍷🥳 This month’s wines are coming to us from the Entre Deux Mers region of 🇫🇷 is an organic, family owned estate run by winemaker Estelle Roumage. This zippy is aged in stainless steel and is giving us all the spring vibes 🌸☀️ The 2016 / blend has velvety notes of raspberry and black pepper and while it’s ready to drink now it also has great aging potential.

IT’S WINE CLUB 🍷 WEDNESDAY meets GRILLED CHEESE 🧀 WEDNESDAY!
This month’s wines are called NO ES PITUKO which translates to “it ain’t fancy” as in these are not meant to be fancy-shmancy but meant to be casual, go-with-everything, easy-going, easy-drinking kind of wines. Swing by and pick up your wines and stay for our take on a classic Chilean Carbonada 🧀 Style! We’re putting this savory Beef Stew in tonight’s grilled cheese with smashed Avocado and our house Cheese blend on grilled .co Sourdough Bread!
cl is still a family-owned and managed estate winery located in the The Curicó Valley, one of Chile’s oldest wine regions, located about 120 miles south of Chile’s capital Santiago. The Echeverría family has a crazy long history of winemaking that started when they immigrated to Chile in the 1750s from Spain. Cut to the late 70’s/early 80’s the country was in a depression and the wine coming out of Chile was not considered high quality. That’s when Roberto Echeverría Rubio decided to move back to his family’s estate where he had grown up and implement new farming and modern winemaking techniques. Determined to save his family’s business he dedicated nearly 15 years to renovating before he brought the next round of wines to market. In 1993 he packed a suitcase full of wine and brought it to the London Wine Trade fair where people validated Roberto’s hard work and belief that wines from his region were not only quality but exceptional. Although he is still very much involved, Viña Echeverría is now managed by Roberto’s children who are dedicated to keeping their families traditions alive while continuing to innovate by focusing on things like and winemaking.
Its and this month we are taking a trip to 🍷 🇪🇸
is an innovative wine project run by two brothers, Toni and Miquel Coca i Fitó in Catalonia. Specifically the Montsant, Terra Alta, and Empordà regions. While the brothers have only been making wine since 2006 this region’s wine history dates back to ancient Roman times and the small sustainable vineyards they source from range from 15 all the way 100 years old!
The driving idea behind their is to create powerful wines with an underlying foundation of freshness and fruit by understanding the terroir of their vineyards, embracing the traditional grapes of the region and by collaborating with different winemakers and artists. (The white wine is a collaboration with female winemaker, Silvia Pujol.) The beautiful wine labels are created by artist Oriol Malet
The 2021 Jaspi Blanc is a refreshing blend of Grenache Blanc and Macabeau that has notes of white flowers, ripe pears, white peaches, and mediterranean herbs.
The Jaspi Negre is a blend of Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, and Cabernet. It has dark cherries, blackberries and anise on the nose and while the palate offers power and structure from the tannin the fact that it’s a 2018 means it’s had time to soften. It’s really well balanced and drinking beautifully.

It’s and we are so excited to share December’s wines with you🍾 Nothing says festive like a bottle of bubbles and this month we are featuring two bottles of from some of our absolute favorite producers - while both of these wines are made in the traditional or “champagne” method they are NOT FROM CHAMPAGNE! ORIGINS comes from the Vayots Dzor province in Armenia 🇦🇲 and is made from 3 indigenous grapes while the Brut is coming to us from the chalky terroir of the North Downs of Kent England 🇬🇧
