All-On-4 is the single worst procedure in dentistry in my opinion. 4 implants to support an entire arch and when one ☝️ implant inevitably fails the ENTIRE procedure fails. DO NOT DO THIS PROCEDURE under any circumstance. All on 4 and NONE on 3! Minimum number of implants is 6. Get a 2nd opinion at all costs if you are ever advised to pull all your teeth and place 4 implants!

When oral biofilms accumulate, they can cause dental caries, gingivitis, periodontitis, and denture stomatitis. The acid and enzymes produced by the microorganisms erode teeth, inflame gums, and compromise oral tissues, resulting in bad breath and other problems.

But here's the scary part – oral biofilms are not just limited to your mouth. They can enter your bloodstream and contribute to systemic diseases. Here are some potential risks:

1️⃣ Cardiovascular Disease: Oral biofilms have been linked to heart disease, including atherosclerosis, endocarditis, and heart valve infections.

2️⃣ Respiratory Infections: Aspiration of oral pathogens from biofilms can lead to respiratory infections, especially in vulnerable individuals.

3️⃣ Diabetes: Oral biofilms can worsen glycemic control and increase complications in individuals with diabetes.

4️⃣ Preterm Birth & Low Birth Weight: Pregnant individuals with periodontal disease (associated with oral biofilms) have an increased risk of these complications.
