With Mom and Dad on the bag, one of the Long Beach State products will hoist a trophy at the end of the day (and earn the ultimate bragging rights!)

The three-time SCGA Player of the Year is a man on a mission! With the help of an ace on the sixth hole this morning, Hogarth took down the reigning SCGA Senior Match Play champion to earn a spot in this afternoon’s quarterfinal match.

Today, Rob is the general manager at MNML and credits the USGA’s immersive 10-day internship program for getting him started in the golf industry.

Tee Time Broker Updates 🗞️ Effective August 1, Los Angeles County’s municipal golf system will adopt the City’s successfully tested protocols to mitigate tee time brokering.

The early returns from the City have been positive in terms of facilitating access – both anecdotally and statistically 📊

Back-to-back Bruins! 🐻 Natalie Vo captured the 58th California Women’s Amateur Championship with a 2&1 victory at Peninsula Golf & Country Club, following up her teammate Kate Villegas, who won in 2023. The rising senior won the first three holes of this morning’s championship match and never surrendered her lead. She joins the likes of Amy Alcott, Patty Sheehan and more as California state champs 🏆

It’s just different in Southern California 💪 The top 3️⃣ Americans in the Women’s World Amateur Golf Ranking happen to be Southland natives and have rightfully earned their spot to compete against Great Britain and Ireland in the 43rd Curtis Cup Match. Golf wasn’t on Morris’ radar when he became a first-generation college graduate at Sacramento State. But when he was selected into the inaugural class of USGA Pathways interns in 2022, he discovered a new trajectory and has since parlayed his passion for golf into a career with the SCGA. As part of the Public Affairs team, he’s on the front lines in Sacramento fighting for golf, providing legislative and regulatory advocacy services to our members, clubs and the California golf industry at large.

He’s done it 🏆 SCGA Junior member Jaden Soong becomes the youngest ever to win the SCGA Amateur (14) in its illustrious 125-year history with a 66 in the final round today at Saticoy to finish at ten-under. He hit 11 fairways, 14 greens in regulation and needed just 27 putts to cap a five-stroke victory.

Absolutely clinical performance and a more than worthy champion 👏

The defending SoCal Junior Am champion, the defending SCGA Amateur champion and the defending SCGA Mid-Amateur champion comprise our final grouping tomorrow for a shot at the 125th SCGA Amateur title 🔥

Annika Ishiyama comes back from a five-stroke deficit to capture the 10th SCGA Women’s Amateur Championship at Saticoy in historic fashion. With her three-under 69 in today’s final round, she tied Saticoy’s women’s course record. And to top it off, you’ll see her at Southern Hills later this summer in the U.S. Women’s Amateur 🏆
