Good afternoon everyone!! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!! We started off our Sunday Funday with an amazing pod of RISSO’S DOLPHINS on our 10am Whale Watch!! It was a little foggy to start off but the fog cleared up and these RISSO’S were heading lazily down the coast. Check out the Cow/Calf pair pictured here!! Despite a lot of wind and white caps, Capt. Kevin found more common dolphins on the 4pm trip.

Capt. Kevin had a nice pod of common dolphins on the 1pm trip.

Capt. Chris found more common dolphins, for our guests on the 3pm trip.

Capt. Chris found some very active common dolphins on the 12:30pm trip.

Capt. Mike found 2 gray whales, at least 5 humpback whales, and hundreds of common dolphins on the 2pm trip.

Capt. Chris found 3 southbound gray whales on the 3pm trip. One very shy single, and a cow/calf pair. The calf looked like a newborn that could have arrived within a few days.

Capt. Chris found 3 possibly 4 fin whales, and thousands of common dolphins on the 3pm trip.

Capt. Chris got some excellent looks at a pod of 4 gray whales on the 12:30pm trip. We also scored the dolphin tri-fecta with some common dolphins, offshore bottlenose dolphins, and risso dolphins.

Capt. Chris found a nice gray whale, 4 humpback whales, and thousands of common dolphins on the 3pm trip. We even got a sunset shot with our long beach boat Triumphant. Trips tomorrow board at 12:30pm and 3pm.

Capt. Chris found a gray whale and 200 common dolphins on the 12:30pm trip. The last one boards at 3pm.

Capt. Chris found some common dolphins on the 3pm trip. We also saw a small green flash on the way back to the dock.

Capt. Chris got some amazing looks.at 3 gray whales on the 12:30pm trip. We got info from Capt. Erik, on our sister ship La Espada, that he found then on the 12pm trip out of Long Beach.

Capt. Mike saw the dolphin tri-fecta again on the 4pm trip. We saw a small pod of common dolphins, and the same mixed pod of Risso dolphins and offshore bottlenose dolphins.

Capt. Mike found a tri-fecta of dolphins on the 1:45pm trip. We had a small pod of common dolphins, and a combo pod of offshore bottlenose dolphins and Risso dolphins.

Capt. Erik was able to get some more looks at the gray whale from earlier, on the 4pm trip. We were able to spend about 20 minutes with the whale before it got dark. Our trips tomorrow start at 10am, so get your tickets.

Capt. Erik had a beautiful 1:45pm trip with a southbound gray whale, 200 common dolphins, and a small pod of pacific white-sided dolphins.
