It’a family affair...

Patriarch Bill Giamela opened up the first Giamela’s in 1964 on Riverside Drive in Burbank, CA as a homage to his Jersey roots and love of subs!

A family business from the start, Grandma Giamela used to make the meatballs at home and take a bus to the original location to serve the meatballs there. The family ties continue until today, as Bill’s son, Matt, operates the Los Feliz and Sunland locations.
Uncle Eddie & his daughter Lorrie own and operate the Burbank location.

We have sandwiches named after Mr. & Mrs. G plus other classics available as we hold on to the tradition of proudly serving Los Angeles!

We’re honored to be part of LA’s very important - and tasty- food culture.
