As a Health Policy Scholar, the scholarship supports my mission to improve the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of health care for cancer patients. DCIS Cryoablation Trial Enrolls its First 2 Patients

This week, 2 patients were enrolled in the clinical trial and successfully underwent cryoablation.

"Cryoablation as a Minimally Invasive Alternative to Surgery for Managing Ductal Carcinoma In Situ," is a pilot study clinical trial to evaluate the use of cryoablation instead of surgery for the management of patients with DCIS measuring 2 cm or less.
