Formed in 1997, Child Care Alliance of Los Angeles provides a comprehensive, countywide model to support and advance high-quality early learning and care programs and local to state initiatives for children, families, and child care providers. Our CCALA team was excited to participate in the first breakfast with our local Resource and Referral agencies, community based early learning programs, and LEAs from across LA County. Our Executive Director, Cristina Alvarado, participated in a panel, with Dr. Debra Duardo, LA County Superintendent of Schools LACOE Head Start and Early Learning Division, and Paul Pulver, CEO of Options for Learning, to discuss the in developing new to support UPK implementation and best meet the needs of families with young children. Thank you to the Office for the Advancement of Early Care and Education Los Angeles County Department of Public Health for hosting this great event and to Kim Pattillo Brownson of Ballmer Group for facilitating this impactful panel.
