Meet Godfrey, a true inspiration! 💫 Despite being the oldest of 7 siblings and coming from a family where his parents were divorced, Godfrey’s determination never wavered. With the support of AMBW, he worked tirelessly to complete a two-year auto mechanic program, and this month, he’ll be receiving his well-deserved certificate. 🎓 His goal? To support his single mother and siblings by putting his newfound skills to use. Let’s celebrate Godfrey’s hard work and dedication! 🙌

🌟 **Celebrating Juneteenth!** 🌟
Today marks the 159th anniversary of Juneteenth, a significant day in American history. On June 19, 1865, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were finally informed of their freedom, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, is a time to honor the end of slavery in the United States and reflect on the progress made towards equality, while recognizing the work that still lies ahead.
Let’s come together to celebrate culture, history, and contributions to society. Happy Juneteenth!

Michael is an 18 year old high school student, from Tororo, East Uganda
His father has passed away and his mother has moved to the Capital city for work. Michael was raised by his grandmother who sells onions and tomatoes to make a living and cannot afford supporting Michael’s educational expenses. For the last 5 years his schooling was covered by Beatrice, the founder of the Pearl Community Empowerment.
Michael performs well in school and aspires to become a doctor; a surgeon, specifically. He also enjoys music and hopes to learn an instruments one day. Given the means and the opportunity, he can become a productive member of his community and even his country.🌟
This is a wonderful opportunity to achieve one’s dreams despite financial challenges. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the donors.
Words cannot fully capture my feelings of gratitude. Once again, thank you so much to all the donors.
