👉🏽 A new study by Rand Corp. found that cleanups of encampments of unhoused people do not have long-term effects on the number of unhoused people.

Fifty-two percent said they had been living on the street for three years or longer, slightly down from 57% in Rand’s 2022 report.

Summer heat means dangerous working conditions 🔥. Last month, CAL OSHA unanimously passed new indoor heat standards that require workplaces to provide drinking water, access to cool-down areas, safety training + more when indoor temperatures reach 82 degrees.

"The state Department of Finance had withdrawn its support for the standards just as they were about to be approved in March, noting that the rules would cost prisons and jails billions of dollars.
