Our client, Marilyn D., is the one of the most consistent client we have. She never misses her therapeutic dosage of restorative exercise.
To show for her hard work, she and her husband, Lance(pictured above) just completed her most difficult 5K walk. She also beat her personal record for time on a 5K while doing so!!
Congrats Marilyn!
Massis, we are very proud of you and all of your accomplishments and know that ,just like our favorite footy team Liverpool F.C, “You’ll never walk alone”.
We’re here for you now and into the future....
C’mon ye Reds....
Powerful lyrics these ...by Gerry and the pacemakers
You'll Never Walk Alone by
Gerry and the Pacemakers
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Derek has seen some functional gains since coming to us in January of 2022. He is able to cover the same distance in less steps and time.
Being mindful of his movement, learning proper gait mechanics and adhering to his restorative exercise program, he was able to achieve these results. But there is always still more work to do! The process is the progress!
May is Stroke Awareness Month!
Did you know that we have 7 million strokesurvivors in the United States? Unfortunately, those stroke survivors can sometimes be met with extremely limited physical therapy options.
In turn, CORE is uniquely equipped with both qualified staff and accessible exercise equipment to help stroke survivors optimize and maximize their recovery.
Refusing to give up nor give in, here’s a short video of CORE’s inspirational champs giving it their all at becoming more euromuscularly efficient, one rep at a time!
How do you think Chris'(SCI) walk compares from last June?
We don't always see or feel the 1% improvement everyday. But you'd be surprised to see the difference after some time has passed.
Keep it up, Chris!
Michael’s stroke certainly picked the wrong opponent…👊💥

Best wishes to our guy Nathan as he goes off to his first year of college next week!!! Nathan has come a long way from his first day at CORE fresh off his recent leukemia treatments. Onto the next part of your already incredible journey.
Everyone in our CORE community knows that Masis is an accomplished musician and huge fan of classical music. When we found out that one of our interns, Mattin, is also an accomplished musician and performs classical pieces, it only made sense to put on a mini-concert for Masis!
In the words of Mattin:
“I could feel from my performance, how the concert served as an outlet to Masis and other clients, where they could let their minds and thoughts flow freely reducing stress/anxiety - another important part in recovery. Massis explained how he was performing better on the arm cycle while listening to my music. I am so glad that I was able to bring joy to clients at CORE and I would love to bring my violin again!”
Thanks Mattin for offering your talents to contribute to the camaraderie of the CORE community!
PROUD TO ANNOUNCE NATHAN AS OUR CLIENT OF THE MONTH!!!

Through her consistency and with the right dose of restorative exercise, Jo’s come out of the storm of the darkness from having had her Achilles’ tendon die post surgery, to emerging victorious and leaving the storm behind in her trails...
Enjoy hiking in Montana...back to the waterfalls...The process is the progress and better has no finish line!
One of our clients, Tony S., continuing on his yearly tradition of gratitude and giving back to the community.
"Good morning family, friends and those of you who are still riding with me... Believe it or not it's been 22 years since my accident. This year to celebrate my rebirth-day I wanted to do something I was inspired by Tyler Perry to do last year, purchase groceries for 100 senior citizens living in one of LA's more vulnerable communities.
What made this years celebration more extraordinary is that I was joined by a young man name Chris whom I recently met at CORE, where I train.
When I told Chris what I was doing to mark the occasion, to my surprise he immediately responded "Can I go with you?"
"Absolutely!!" I replied.
We arrived at the grocery store at 11am. After briefly explaining to him how the process would go I was taken aback by what happened next.
Chris is still recovering from a recent spinal cord injury and is unable to work. Yet he insisted on using debit card to help purchase groceries. He said he didn't just want to be there, he also wanted to help.
I was so moved by his humanity and I didn't want to take that moment away from him. I expressed how much I appreciated the sentiment but the fact that he was willing to give of his time was more than enough.
Needless to say the day went off without a hitch. Giving all thanks to God Chris and I were able to help 92 families. here/still blessed you Chris you!! Stay safe🙏🏾"
