Give your formalwear a new home and help young people look and feel their best for Fall Ball, a prom-inspired event to provide young people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles with a special night of dancing, food and celebration.🕺🪩

Fall Ball is more than just a night of fun—Having the opportunity to attend a formal dance with their peers and community is a formative young adult experience and milestone event that many of the young people of My Friend's Place missed due to disrupted educational experiences, poverty and/or other challenging life circumstances.

We need your help collecting formal attire for the young people to select before Monday, August 19! We’re seeking new or gently used formalwear including suits, dresses, accessories, purses, jewelry, dress shoes, ties, belts, button-up shirts, sports jackets and slacks.🌟

Please email [email protected] to schedule a drop-off appointment at My Friend's Place Monday-Friday 9am-4pm (or 9am-noon on Wednesdays).

The H4WRD team was treated to a site visit yesterday at the Jan Clayton Center, Hollywood’s newest interim housing facility. We’re grateful to Kylie from ’s office for arranging the visit, and to our new friends Rosa and Daizohn from Volunteers of America for their warm hospitality — and for overseeing this much-needed new housing asset with care and compassion. With 51 of 52 beds filled just over a month since it’s launch, the “JCC” is already making a big impact on our community.
