Please join us for the 9th Annual BREA x REAG Case Competition! It’s the perfect chance for UCLA students to display their knowledge of commercial real estate and connect with real estate-inclined peers.

Students will be assigned to teams of 4 to 6 people. Groups will spend two weeks crafting a financial model in Excel and a PowerPoint slide deck to present an investment opportunity located in Southern California. Each team will have the unique opportunity to share their deal analysis and investment thesis to a panel of judges consisting of industry professionals. In prior years, students have leveraged their case competition experience to successfully secure commercial real estate roles. Students of all experience levels are highly encouraged to partake in the competition.

Introducing BREA’s Director of Events Milo Kuiper Rauch. Milo is a 4th year Business Economics major and has been a proud BREA member since his sophomore year. He spent his summer interning at Healthpeak Properties in Los Angeles, where he will be returning full-time following graduation in the spring. In his free time, he enjoys playing the guitar and rock climbing.

Introducing BREA’s Director of Finance Matthew Feldman. Mathew is a 3rd year History major and has been a BREA member since his sophomore year. He spent his summer interning at the Viola Group in Tel Aviv, Israel. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, spending time with friends and family, and listening to music.

Introducing BREA’s Co-Director of Recruitment Grant Nagle. Grant is a 3rd year Economics major and has been a BREA member since his freshman year. He spent his summer interning at Brookfield Properties in Chicago, Illinois. In his free time, he enjoys soccer, golf, and a good cup of coffee.

Last night, we were fortunate enough to attend a Dinner for Eight hosted by Richard Pink and Tim Kawahara. Thank you so much for your time and valuable advice on how to approach our real estate careers in our respective field of interest. We are looking forward to hopefully visit Pink’s Hot Dogs in the near future to try their famous chili cheese dogs. Good morning Bruins! BREA is excited to kick off our first in-person meeting of the spring quarter tonight with Nick Marino.

Nick Marino is the CEO and founder of TruLiv, a company which focuses on real estate investment technology that optimizes the real estate investment process by leveraging Big Data, AI, and Machine Learning. Nick has experience at several Real Estate development and investment firms across the asset-class spectrum. Through the process of underwriting and pursuing sub-institutional multifamily assets, he was shocked to discover the fractured ownership and lack of data and technology in the space, which gave birth to TruLiv.

Come join us to learn more about TruLiv and Nick's experience in real estate. We are looking forward to seeing you all tonight!

Happy week 10 everyone! We hope that you have been getting some well deserved rest during these times!

We would like to feature one of our most recent events - the first one being the Dinner for 8 with the amazing Jed Lassere, a Director at PCCP. Held at the Luskin Conference Center, students were able to learn more about the professional world through his past experiences and advice! We hope to host more dinners similar to this in the upcoming Spring quarter so please stay tuned!

Tonight, BREA hosted its first “Dinner for 10” with the help of Tim Kawahara, the Executive Director of the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate. We are extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to converse with Tim Harakawa and Alex Valente, the Senior Vice President of Tramwell Crow Company. We hope to hold more of these events in the future and help BREA members become more connected with UCLA alumni and professional within the local real estate industry.
