When a cancer diagnosis feels overwhelming to a patient, they often seek ways to understand and express their feelings. Some patients have found help from Healing Through Art, a unique therapy program that blends group therapy and "gallery time," where each patient shares the art they created and what it means to them.

Offered through the UCLA Simms Mann Center for Integrative Oncology, Healing Through Art is not an art class. Rather, the art here “provides a medium to communicate some of the most difficult emotions and experiences in the cancer treatment journey,” says Paige Asawa, PhD.

Healing Through Art is always open to new attendees. Learn more about this unique program: https://ucla.in/3rM8the
