“...Though it really just confirmed what I already felt, The Wall Street Journal's [] recent series revealing that Facebook has repeatedly ignored its own internal research about some of these negative effects really gave me pause.

Facebook is choosing to ignore their own findings - but I don’t feel comfortable ignoring them. Valuing and caring for our community, being authentic & true - these are foundational principles for me and for Clementine.

So, we’re taking a break.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Maybe we’ll try something else, or maybe the FOMO will prove to be too great. In any case, I hope there will be more questioning, followed by transparency and accountability, followed by some practical changes to these platforms that will help them live up to their amazing potential for good, with less actual harm.

If enough people insist upon it, there’s no reason we can’t have our cake and eat it too, without having to sacrifice privacy, freedom of speech, personal safety, connection, kindness, or kids’ mental health.

Come summertime, we like our chicken salad light, so as to leave more room in our mayo budgets for BLTs and potato salad. The Grilled Chicken Salad breaks the bank when it comes to flavor: chicken breast butterflied and marinated with yogurt and garam masala, grilled then tossed with cilantro, mint, cashews and ginger-lime pickled onions.

Our Thai Steak Salad: glazed & grilled boneless beef short ribs with baby spinach, cabbage, cilantro, mint, Thai basil and peanuts with spicy vinaigrette. Enjoy it all week long!

We know you'll miss the strawberries, but we promise you won't be disappointed in the peaches this season. Catch the sun this week like our delicious Peach Shortcake did when it modeled for us!
