Alopecia areata is traumatic for all that suffer from it. This female patient had worn braids for years, and had patches of hair loss. This type of alopecia, called traction alopecia, has a high success rate using PRP. This patient had hair growth following 1 treatment. Typically, we give 3 treatments spread out over 3-4 months.
