UCLA has earned a Civic Portfolio Award from the U.S. Green Building Council California. The campus has 64 Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) buildings, with the second largest LEED portfolio in California. Moving out? With some simple planning, you can help not only reduce your carbon footprint, but also give your gently used household items and furniture a loving home. Partnering with local nonprofits, LA City Council District 5, LA Sanitation, and campus partners, UCLA will host two “Sustainable Move Out” events in the North Village area, along with two events on the Hill on campus. Move out weekends are scheduled for June 8 and June 22 in the North Village. In addition, on June 8th and 13th, 2024, UCLA students who reside on-campus will be able to donate small household items for reuse across the Hill.

E3 at UCLA's Earth Day fair features sustainability clubs, raises awareness - Daily Bruin Live music and decorated tables drew students to Dickson Court for an Earth Day fair, where around 15 UCLA clubs used a small square of campus to celebrate the entire globe.

Earth Day is here, and our blue and gold university has gotten greener. From sustainable food choices to energy-efficient buildings and native plant landscaping, UCLA has made progress on many targets set by the Sustainability Plan introduced in 2022.
