This is our Aunt Angie, she created the Lasagna recipe on our menu, which is aptly named “Aunt Angie’s Lasagna” Today would have been her birthday. What better way to honor her than to come in and order some of her famous Lasagna? Yumm. ❤️

GoFundMe set up for devastated SoCal family after sole breadwinner dies from COVID-19 An effort is underway to help a Southern California family devastated by the coronavirus after the father, who was the family's only source of income, recently died from the virus.

We were heartbroken to learn today that Nylo Corado, a long time employee of our Cahuenga store, has passed away after a battle with Covid-19. He was a beloved member of the Miceli’s work family whose smile and spirit always brightened the day of coworkers and customers alike. For the many years he worked with us, up through the start of this pandemic which has affected so many, we are grateful to have known Nylo and he will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts are with his family, wife and children in this difficult time.

On behalf of the Miceli family and restaurant, we wanted to wish you a very Happy New Year! We know the promise of a new beginning in 2021 means more than usual given all that has happened this year. It has been incredibly humbling the past couple of weeks to see the support of our community (near and far) in response to this campaign. Not only the generosity of those who have given through GoFundMe, but the many others who shared the message on social media, told a friend, or ordered a meal (or several) from us. We are grateful for each and every one of you, and want you to know that when we get on the other side to better times, we intend to pay this forward in kind, to make sure the help that we have gotten during these difficult times is reciprocated back in turn to others who need it.

On that note, one unexpected but extraordinary outcome of this campaign has been the idea from several of our donors to direct payment for meals from our restaurants to the hardworking medical practitioners on the front lines of the COVID battle here in Los Angeles County. Their contributions have sent more than 250 meals so far to doctors, nurses and emergency room personnel working at Hollywood Presbyterian and Long Beach Memorial hospitals, with more to come in weeks to follow. To all the men and women working so tirelessly to confront the effects of the ongoing pandemic, we appreciate your work and will continue to provide whatever support we can to you in these times.
