Pagan Pride Day LA/OC Workshop - 2 p.m. - Introduction to Shadow Work for Witches, Empaths, and Spiritually-Minded People - Aislin Lumina
(see more workshop listings in the events section of this page)
Introduction to Shadow Work for Witches, Empaths, and Spiritually-Minded People teaches the basics of shadow work and gives a bird's eye view of the different methods you can use to tap into your shadow and your unconscious mind. Shadow Work is something that a lot of people have become interested in over the past decade, especially within our pagan communities. Some say, it is the most authentic path to enlightenment. And yet, most people don't even know where to begin! In this workshop, I teach what the shadow is, how it is created, and how we can access those parts of ourselves that we reject and push out of our consciousness. The process of keeping the shadow at bay consumes so much energy - energy that we could be using, instead, for our spiritual evolution. Additionally, the shadow contains roles that we tried on once but didn't pursue, and so it is a wellspring of creative energy - if we know how to tap into it! Shadow Work has been known to deepen one's connection with the Divine, amplify spiritual gifts, and increase intuition. The combination of shadow work and energy work together, can accelerate the process. When we begin to address both the blockages in our emotional as well as energetic bodies, we find that we step into a power greater than anything we've ever known.

You're invited to our Samhain ritual on Sunday!
Samhain season is here and as the veils between the worlds continue to thin, our attention is pulled away from this world - whether that means into the spirit realm of our ancestors and dearly departed loved ones or into our own internal landscapes.
You are invited to join us for a deeply touching and cathartic online Samhain ritual presented by Body Mind Witchcraft and Coven of Midnight's Flame.
We'll honor those who've crossed through the veils in a moving and reverent Tolling of the Bells Ceremony.
Afterwards, we'll dive deep into our own psyches as we travel with the goddess Hecate to the crossroads of our shadow selves.
Tickets are available by donation here:

Some photos from our Samhain ritual Sunday night!
This was our first in-person ritual at the Covenstead since before the pandemic began and it was so nice to be able to build our ancestor altar outdoors in our ritual space and celebrate under the open sky.
Coven of Midnight's Flame is currently accepting new members. If you live in the Los Angeles area and are interested in joining us, please send us a message or comment below.

I keep meaning to post these pics from our in-person Mabon ritual from two weekends ago!
This was our second in-person ritual since the pandemic began, and it's been really nice having ritual in person instead of always online.
Don't get me wrong, I love the online rituals because we have members who can only attend if it's online.
But it definitely fills my cup up to be in person as well!
We met once again at Limekiln Canyon Park in Porter Ranch and hiked a nice mile and a half in to our ritual site under a huge oak tree.
The veils definitely felt a little thinner than they were at Lughnasadh six weeks before.
We honored the Norse deities of Sun and Moon, Sol and Mani, and worked with the intentions of balance and time.
We each created balance wheels and reflected on what areas of our lives need more attention and which areas need less in order to create more balance.
We also wrote messages of gratitude on stones and left them at the Gratitude Stone Garden at the entrance of the park.
It was a great ritual and a magickal night, and like usual, I forgot to take many pictures, but I did capture these few!
If you are interested in joining us, Coven of Midnight's Flame is currently accepting new members.
You must live in the Los Angeles area and be able to come to some small in-person gatherings. Our covenstead is located in San Fernando, CA and we also meet occasionally in North Hollywood.
Blessed Be!

We hope you'll join us tonight for our Mabon Gratitude for the Earth ritual we're hosting with Body Mind Witchcraft.
At this ritual, we'll connect with the intention of gratitude and journey to meet the Earth Mother Pachamama.
We suggest you gather some paper, something to write with, and a candle as you prepare your ritual space.
Also, make sure that you have a comfortable place to sit or lie down for our guided meditation.
The ritual will be streamed to the Body Mind Witchcraft page starting at 5:30pm Pacific time/8:30pm Eastern time tonight!
If you'd instead like to attend on Zoom, we invite you to join the Body Mind Witchcraft facebook group where you'll receive the Zoom link for the ritual.

Hope to see you there!
Happy Mabon!
Fall Equinox arrives on Thursday here in the Northern Hemisphere, and with that, we enter Mabon season!
Do you have any plans for Mabon this year?
If not, here are some ideas!
Haha! This has definitely happened at my house on more than one occasion!
😹😹😹
Have a blessed Sunday everyone!
💛💛💛
Happy Wednesday everyone!
Have a blessed Thursday everyone!
I always mean to take so many pictures when the coven gets together, and here it was the first in-person ritual since before Covid began, and I only managed to get a picture of Beth and I showing off our Witches' Ladders and this picture of the sky above us.
Nevertheless, we had a lovely time at Limekiln Canyon Park for our Lughasadh Ritual!
After making our Withes' Ladders at the picnic tables close to the entrance of the park, we used the remaining daylight to hike further in to our ritual spot underneath a beautiful oak tree I've been visiting for the past year and a half.
While we've been fortunate enough to hold the coven together online for the past 2 1/2 years, getting together for this moving ritual in the middle of nature truly was a magickal experience and reminds me why we do what we do!
We made the decision awhile ago that even after Covid was not as much a threat, we would continue on as a hybrid coven, with some events in person and some online.
We are also excited to announce that after several years of being relatively closed to new members, Coven of Midnight's Flame is once again opening its doors.
If you are interested in learning more about our coven, feel free to comment below or message us. You can also send me an email at [email protected]
While we are only initiating those who consider themselves women at this time, our coven has many levels of membership that are open to all genders.
The only requirement that we have is that you be in the LA area and able to come to some in-person events. Our convenstead is located in San Fernando and we do some outdoor rituals at parks like Limekiln Canyon. The majority of our classes and meetings continue to take place online at this time.

Happy Lughnasadh everyone!
The Wheel turns once again and we find ourselves at Lughnasadh, the first of the three harvest festivals of the Wheel of the Year.
Lughnasadh, sometimes known by its Christianized name Lammas, meaning Loaf-Mass, celebrates the point when the first sheaves of wheat were cut ceremoniously to share with the community in gratitude.
This sabbat is named after the Celtic Sun god Lugh, who created a festival to honor his foster mother Tailtiu.
Lore tells us that Tailtiu sacrificed her own life so the people of the land could eat.
Lugh commemorated this time for her, which included games, crafts, athletic competitions, and feasting.
This may be the origin of the modern day county fairs, typically held at the height of the summer.
The story of Tailtiu and Lugh reminds us that bounty never comes without some sacrifice.
Many of our ancestors believed that the soul of the Sun god lived within the grain, and so he became the Dying God at this time of the year.
But the Dying God is also the Resurrected God, who would rise again the following year.
This is a reminder to us that the seed of the next harvest resides inside of this one.
At Lughnasadh, we celebrate our bounty and we can also use this time to send our intentions of abundance out into the Universe.
In order to balance this Universal abundant energy, though, we should also consider in what way we are able to make a sacrifice.
What could you give at this time in return for the abundance that is coming your way?
Could you donate time? money? food? kindness? something else?
While Lughnasadh is traditionally celebrated on August 1st, as a cross quarter day, it is located directly between Summer Solstice and Fall Equinox, and so its astrological date varies from year to year.
This year, astrological Lughnasadh falls on August 6th or 7th, depending on where you live in the world.
Like all Sabbats, though, Lughnasadh can be thought of more as a season than as a single date.
We are now in the season of abundance, so celebrate the bounty in your life and don’t forget to find some ways to give back to the Universe!
Blessed Be!
