Opening a new shop and business takes a LOT of work behind the scenes (even though I’ve done it before) and I’ve only been in my new space for one week. I’ve been preparing the space and at the mercy of the worker’s availability, plus there’s been a few minor hiccups… BUT I am eager and excited to resume taking clients. So please be patient with me, I’m doing the best I can. 💙

⚠️ Hair Appreciation Post (a long read)⚠️

Now that you know what my hair is doing in each pic lemme get into it. So I’ve been natural (perm free) for 15 years. A few times a year I’d get my hair trimmed and flat ironed so I’d rock it straight for a couple of weeks, but for the most part I wore wigs or other protective styles. I never felt a way about wearing my own hair I just felt it was more “convenient” or “easy” to wear a wig or whatever because I never really dedicated the time to learn my hair in her natural state.

As I’ve grown and evolved as a (Black) woman, so has my mindset and perspective. Instead of viewing the beautiful, diverse, head of hair that I was blessed with as “taking up too much time” I just decided to take the time to familiarize myself with what she did in her natural state. And tbh I was getting tired of wearing the wigs. That’s not to say I’ll never wear a wig or straight hair again, I just much more prefer texture now. (Truth be told I’ve never really been a fan of wearing straight hair, I’d usually have some type of curls).I had a lot more to say but my caption was too long. 🙄 More to come.

🙋🏽‍♀️ everyone has been asking where I’ve been and why I haven’t been on here; in short I have better things to do - like being present, getting closer to God, loving on me and handling my business…among other things. I also felt the need to change my username because “Tina” is reserved for family and friends and I REALLY started to dislike strangers and new clients calling me that… Also when I would tell people my ig they never could spell my middle name (Jeniece) 🤦🏽‍♀️ so to simplify things just call me Christina. (Plus I like my name, I think it’s pretty)…. ANYWAY that’s that. But now I have to change all my other pages n stuff including my logo🙄 so bare with me!
