This Saturday, April 27th from 2:30-4:00 PM Christina Cha, Ivory BLU, and Ebony Morgan read original work in the garden of the Hyde Park Miriam Matthews Branch - Los Angeles Public Library. We would love to see you there!
Our monthly circulation is a little less than 1,400 books a month. In July of 2023, we circulated 1,914 books; in September of 2023, we circulated 1,870; in October of 2023, we circulated 1,519, but in January of 2024, we circulated 1,718 books. Thank you to the Park Mesa Heights Neighborhood and City Council District #8 for coming through the library and checking out books!
Please join us on Saturday, January 27 from 2:00-3:30 for "Miriam's Garden," a poetry reading series in the garden of the Hyde Park Library. We kick off the year with Luis J. Rodriguez (), Angelina Sáenz (), and Bri Stokes ().
Please join us Saturday, 10/28 @ 2 PM, for "Miriam's Garden." This month we are featuring the poetry of Eric DeVaughnn, Yaa Asantewaa Faraji, and Richard Modiano. Please come out and enjoy October's splendor in our garden and listen to local, World Stage Press poets.
Please come through tomorrow, 9/23 from 2:00-3:30 PM at the Miriam Matthews-Hyde Park Branch Library (2205 West Florence Blvd, 90043), Erika Ayon, William Gonzalez, Gloria Enedina Alvarez, and Jeff Rogers read their poetry in the library's garden for "Miriam's Garden," a poetry reading series celebrating World Stage Press books in our collection.

Please join us this Saturday, June 24th from 2-3:30 PM for a new poetry reading series in South Los Angeles: Miriam's Garden. Miriam's Garden seeks to highlight the work of BIPOC poets, and promote the books they've published via World Stage Press. This Saturday features Lisbeth Coiman, Camari Carter, and Melaina Williams, so please come out and support these poets by supporting your neighborhood branch.
Please join us in our community room on Thursday, December 29th @ 4 PM for our "New Year, New You Button-Making Hour". All supplies will be provided and we will be using a 1" button maker!
