Sorry to hear of the passing of Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, the first woman on the U.S. Supreme Court (1981 to 2006) and a trailblazer in law. In 2009, she founded iCivics, a web-based non-partisan educational project designed to reinvigorate civic education, featuring free games, lesson plans, interactive modules and more.

Alberta O. Jones Park is OFFICIALLY OPEN in the California Neighborhood. This marvelous park is a wonderful way to help keep the legacy of famed attorney & civil rights pioneer Alberta O. Jones alive! The Louisville Central High School graduate was one of first African American women to pass Bar Association & was our first female City Attorney.
