KIPDA has drafted an update to our Coordinated Human Services Transportaion Plan. It provides guidance on funding decisions and analyses gaps in transportation for seniors and folks with disabilities.

An amendment to KIPDA's Unified Planning Work Document is now open for public comment. Changes can be found on Page 35 and Table A1 of the appendix. This includes dedicated funding for Planning studies & a funding increase for route monitoring for TARC. Any comments can be sent to [email protected].

This survey is conducted by KIPDA Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living in partnership with Polco, a trusted research firm and civic engagement organization. The questionnaire, developed by National Research Center at Polco, gathers insight from seniors into overall community livability, covering topics such as employment and volunteer opportunities, housing, accessibility, mobility, and physical and mental health. Results from this survey will help inform the development of related policies, initiatives, and community programs.

As part of the Safe Streets and Roads for All Safety Action Development Plan, the public is being asked to pinpoint the concerns they see on their daily commutes.
