Meet Kevin Buckley, our Assistant Director for In-State Recruitment! 👋

Originally from Northern Virginia, Kevin grew up in Ashburn before heading to James Madison University for his undergraduate degree, where he double-majored in Sociology and Political Science. Since joining UofL, Kevin has earned his master's degree in Higher Education Administration, and has also been working towards completing his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development.

Having worked in the Office of Admissions for five years, Kevin’s favorite part of the job is being able to interact with and hear the stories of so many different types of students, from Kentucky and beyond. As an advocate for student passions, Kevin goes above and beyond in encouraging students to pursue what they love, while continually celebrating them along the way.

Meet Jack Geruc, a sophomore Political Science and Philosophy major from Union, KY! 👋

On campus, Jack is involved with Greek Life and RaiseRED student involvement staff and serves as the Director of Recruitment for the Interfraternity Council.

Jack also works as a member of the Student Orientation Staff and as a Cardinal Guide on campus! 🏛️📚

Due to processing delays with the U.S. Department of Education's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the University of Louisville is extending its enrollment deposit deadline to June 1, 2024.

This extension will give students more time to carefully review their financial aid offers before making a final, well-informed decision about their academic future.

Originally from Cuba, Amalia completed her associate’s degree at JCTC before heading to UofL to earn her bachelor’s degree, where she majored in Finance. Amalia also recently graduated from UofL with her master’s degree in Business Analytics.

Having worked in the Office of Admissions for three years, Amalia’s favorite part of the job is being able to provide personalized guidance and support to all of her students. As an advocate for the Latinx community, Amalia goes above and beyond in bringing students' goals to life through her compassion and dedication to student success.

A Western Kentucky native, Anna grew up in Marshall County and attended Paducah Tilghman High School before heading to UofL for her undergraduate degree, where she majored in Communication and minored in Psychology and Creative Writing. Anna is also currently pursuing her master's degree in Higher Education Administration and will graduate this spring.

Having worked in the Office of Admissions for nearly two years, Anna's favorite part of the job is getting to serve students in the same way that she was supported during her time as a UofL student. As an advocate for celebrating student success, Anna goes above and beyond in ensuring that students feel valued, seen and championed throughout the entire college search process.
