Frazier Meadows Reno - Follow Up

Happy summer everyone! I stopped by recently to check in on our Frazier Meadows clients as part of our standard 90 day post close walk through. It was really nice to see the landscaping complete and the home and property existing together harmoniously.

Table Mesa Reno - Finishing Touches

One of the standout features of this home is the steel, wood, and glass floating staircase. This unique piece will connect the new upper floor to original main house in dramatic fashion.

Oxford Rd - Exciting Beginnings

We are excited to be working on design development for this unique project! One of our past clients has hired us to finish off what has been 10 years of ongoing projects on their spectacular farm house property in Boulder County. The clients being avid fitness enthusiasts and gardeners, we are creating a spectacular greenhouse and pool house to cap off their spectacular property. The greenhouse will feature automated climate and ventilation control, encased in glass, steel, and stone. The poolhouse will contain a sunken cold plunge, infrared sauna, workout bays, and dramatic overhead doors to open the entire space to the pool and gardens.

We are grateful for the opportunity to bring the owners’ visions to life and always happy to be working with great past clients!

The Ranch - Final Shots: Listen, Collaborate, Construct

Until the landscaping and flatwork are completed, these are the final construction shots of our Ranch Project. These photos do not do justice to the setting and scale of the project, however they offer a good glimpse into this grand accomplishment. The project had to work through several zoning, nature conservation, agricultural, stormwater management, and civil engineering challenges. Throughout the build process, the clients lived in the original home, literally 10’ away from the new house. This home is a testament to the power of teamwork and truly captures all of the contributions of the various stakeholders. It is a living example of our tagline; Listen, Collaborate, Construct.

As a custom builder, we really enjoy bringing our design partners’ visions to reality. This project is loaded with several Wow! elements, none larger than the steel, wood, and glass staircase at the epicenter of this whole house renovation project.

Table Mesa Reno - Exterior Masonry

There is just something so unique about well installed brick that you can’t get from other building materials. It has both a vintage feel and a modern look when properly designed. It provides a heavy mass while still showcasing delicate details and lines.

Special to this project are the 2 large, circular windows that pierce the brick facade. This is a nice modern touch to break up the large expanses of the running bond pattern. 303 Masonry is doing a great job on both this and the stucco!

The Ranch - Reclaimed Timbers Installed

Home building is part science, part art; this can be seen in the sourcing, prep, installation, and finished result of these wonderful timbers. At Ellis Builds, we collaborate on all phases to produce the best end results possible.

These pieces are truly a unique detail, adding some authenticity to this modern farmhouse. The massive timber mantle and reclaimed butcher block kitchen island top are next up and will be installed over the next couple of weeks!

The Ranch - Food Truck Visit

Everyone at the project was so grateful to the owners who provided a food truck lunch to all the workers! Big shout out to Dos Manos, the food was incredible. A big thank you to our clients for showing gratitude to everyone that is working hard to bring their dream home to life!

Things are really coming together as we are going through rough inspections and getting ready for insulation and drywall. It will be exciting to see all the interior finishes installed and this renovation really coming to life!

The unseasonably warm winter weather we have been experiencing lately has allowed us to progress with several exterior finish details. We are currently completing the exterior masonry, sheet metal work, tongue and groove porch lids and sun shades. The exterior of this home is really coming together!

Such a fun evening with the Ellis Builds team! Despite being a few men down, we had a wonderful evening celebrating our successful year and enjoying our time together away from the office. 2023 was by far the best in our 22 year history; I am so thankful to have such a talented and caring group of professionals to work with!

ADU’s (accessory dwelling units) are great options if your property qualifies for them. Check out what we turned this simple potting shed into on Mapleton Drive! This compact, well designed, elegant unit provided luxurious and comfortable quarters for our clients guests.

This storage barn and sport court were great additions to the Boulder County custom home we built recently. What is more fun than coming home from work and going outside to shoot some hoops and play with the kids?

This stunning stair case provided an amazing center piece for this grand renovation we built several years ago. The stairs are great example of how blending form and function, in the right way, can create something that is truly special!

It is always fun to see unique details come to life on the job site! By utilizing a large, bent steel window header, we are able to create large openings for multiple picture windows to capture the amazing views beyond. The silo will definitely be a showpiece of the completed home!
