Wild Heritage Gardens and Design

Just completed! I love this before and after ( forgive my iPhone photos)…and when a client says ‘it brings so much joy to my heart’! 😁

PIP pavers and new steps in place! These clients wanted an updated modern feel, the old concrete wasn’t making their vibe. Although this was changed multiple times through the process, I love the design and how it turned out! Mexican beach pebbles will be in the 4” gaps and planting next week!

It’s always so nice to get a great review and feel appreciated! From ‘builderscape’ to a sustainable, living ecosystem! I’ll be updating as it blooms and through the seasons.

It’s so very unfortunate for our clients and our industry, but we fix a lot of mistakes and bad work.
One example, this kitchen was beautiful on the outside, but when you look closer it’s really bad work. It was set below grade and filling with water every time it rains. It ruined the $2k+ refrigerator and if left, it would crumble.
Not only that, the lighting and irrigation were shoddy too. The contractor won’t fix the issues.
Be careful who you hire, don’t choose cheap or you pay twice. Choose value!

Progress on the first phase of this beautiful design. The back yard of the home is a modern sanctuary. It show cases a modern pebble finish large patio and really neat PIP steppers that will be surrounded by a tidy planting of perennials and small evergreens. It also features a zen garden out the kitchen window.
A large expanse of low water, functional grass for kids play is retained with cedar vegetable garden boxes and River boulder steps which lead to the native grass area in which you will find two more patios with paths winding through food forests and deciduous tree/evergreen forests to keep the kids moving and take advantage of the amazing 2 acres. The kids play area will have a cutting garden maze, vine teepee and swing from the wonderful existing giant cottonwood. A fire pit area and grille station are the final touches.

I love solving problems. ( after all, there really aren’t problems, just solutions!) This area was grass and grass uses too much water! The client had lots of flagstone, he was game for a crevice garden! 🥳
Heat loving, low water plants going in soon!

Our crews work hard! This demo of dying Kentucky blue grass wasn’t easy. To restore the lifeless compacted soil, we removed the old grass, tilled in beautiful rich compost, amended with humic acid, bacteria’s and fungi, regraded and today, will lay low water, pesticide free sod- 6 pallets worth!!

I am so in love with what we do! Meeting with a client today was such a pleasure. You know that feeling, they are your people. When she pulled out an Oudolf book, and was so excited turning the pages, it sparked so much within me. The yes!!!
Yes! We save water, and reuse it in your garden. Yes! We get rid of thirsty lawns and create beautiful ecosystems. Yes! We create magical sanctuaries. Yes! Never a pesticide.
The yes, all the ‘yeses’, to the magic we create is such an incredible blessing for us, for clients and, for the earth.
It just makes me so very happy!
So very much gratitude!!!

As I got off the phone today, I realized how insane it was that the Huff Post wanted to interview ME about alternatives to pesticides. My next thought was- I just talked her ear off for an hour and she barely got a word in. Well, that’s the way it goes when you are passionate I guess.

My question to her, and you, is “Why do we need any type of pesticide?” The real truth is, we don’t, and no, the weeds will not take over your yard.
Her next question was “What about pests?” Another truth, you don’t need that either, and no, your beautiful plants will not die.

Wild Heritage is the leading expert in ‘real’ nature based landscaping, we have the answers and we are turning the professional landscape industry on its head with alternatives that have been here for millions of years.
Sometimes we just need to open our eyes and be reassured we can do this!
