and Robert Craig Films is making a reality and Nu Home couldn’t be happier to be here for it!!

We are excited to bring to your attention that Nu Home Louisville has partnered with Robert Craig Films to bring additional awareness of the homeless crisis in our communities. The company is producing the movie “No Address,” a documentary “Americans With No Address,” a novelization of the screenplay “No Address,” as well as an interactive resource guide and music album that will provide songs for the movie and radio distribution.

Robert Craig Films has coined the phrase “The Big 5” which represents the movie, documentary, book, curriculum, and music.

The full-length feature film No Address will be released in the Spring of 2024. The film is studded with Hollywood celebrities such as William Baldwin, Ashanti, Xander Berkeley, Beverly D’Angelo, Lucas Jade Zumann, Patricia Velasquez, Isabella Ferreira, and Ty Pennington to name a few. The film is about a group of people that fall into homelessness and band together to survive on the streets. You don’t want to miss .

Additionally, Robert Craig Films is giving 50% of the net proceeds as well as $1,000,000 from the Robert Craig Films Foundation to be shared by other nonprofits involved in homelessness across the country, and we have been approved to be a recipient!

Their missional goals are the same as ours, to help individuals and families experiencing homelessness, access the support they need to obtain sustainable housing and services, and get their lives back together.

Imagination Library of Louisville’s mission is to provide a free monthly book to Louisville children from birth to age five to foster a love of reading and prepare children for kindergarten.

We have been working very hard to get another house ready for a homeless family. Thanks to the Gheens Foundation, the Kentucky Colonels and others we were able to obtain this house which was sitting vacant for over (10) years. This house has been completely gutted to the studs. New electrical, plumbing, cabinets, fixtures, siding and a new roof. Now the contractors are finalizing the work on the exterior of the house. The house should be completed within the month. We really need your help to make this house a Nu HOME!

This 4-Bedroom, 1.5 Bath, 1,900 Square Foot house will be used to help homeless families with household sizes of up to eight people. Its not just about getting the homeless into a house. Our program continually works with the family to identify and break down the barriers which caused their homelessness in the first place. We work with the families to find employment or obtain the benefits needed to become self sufficient. Most families are able to move from the program within a year or so and are fully contributing members of society when they move.

We need your help to fill this house with furnishings, household supplies, cleaning and hygiene supplies and for any special accommodations the family might need based on any disability.

Choices, Inc. Renamed to Nu Home

Louisville, KY, June 3rd, 2022 – The Board of Directors of Choices, Inc., a permanent and supportive housing program for Louisville’s homeless women and families, is pleased to announce that its application to the Secretary of State for a name change was approved and as of now, the organization will be named Nu HOME.

The Board has sought to strengthen the organization’s name and brand to better reflect the services the organization provides to the community.

Originally founded in the NuLu area of downtown Louisville in February 1991, the organization has been serving homeless women and families for more than 30 years. The non-profit seeks out residential properties and revitalizes them to provide homeless families a Nu HOME.

Nu HOME is creating a place to call home for homeless women and families, built on hope, opportunity, motivation and empowerment (H.O.M.E.)

Once part of the Nu Home program, families also receive individualized supportive services such as case management, life skills and safety education designed to overcome the root cause of their homelessness. Nu Home is literally ending homelessness in the greater Louisville, KY area, one family at a time.

Nu HOME, the new brand for Choices, Inc., is a public 501(c)3 non-profit organization, registered with tax ID number 61-1208995. The organization depends on the charitable donations from the general public, --foundations and corporations.
