Attention Chelmsford residents, please take a minute to read this announcement from the Newhouse Wildlife Rescue, they provide a much needed service for our community and need your help!
People who are unhappy about something tend to be far more outspoken than those who are happy about it.
I know a large percentage of the community supports the building of our wildlife clinic on the Koulas property, that the town recently purchased.
If you are a resident of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, We could really use your help. If this wildlife clinic is something you want and believe should be in Chelmsford, now is the time to speak up.
Please write to the Select Board and let them know you support the wildlife clinic on the Koulas property.
Email: [email protected]
But please only email if you are a resident of Chelmsford.
We can’t continue to provide this free service to Chelmsford and the surrounding communities, in my garage.
These animals need more. Please. 🙏
UPDATE: To be clear - we have not received any negative feedback from the select board or the task force on this project. I ask for this support because the only letter written to the task force and read aloud last night, was against our facility being built there. I imagine the town would like to know how many members of the community are actually in support of this clinic.
Start the party early! Our St. Patrick’s Day specials are available Friday-Sunday! And yes, we have Magners! See you soon!
I am so excited to introduce our artist for March, Lorraine Pacy. I first met Lorraine when she was a teenager and working as a host at the west Concord 99. What I remember from that time was a sweet, hardworking young lady who had an inner strength that would certainly be tested over the years. She lost her mother to ALS shortly after we started working together, many years later, while pregnant with her son, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Both of the these life changing events have only made her stronger and more determined to find the beauty that surrounds us and to appreciate every day.
She has found an outlet in painting and we are lucky to have some of her beautiful pieces on our wall this month!
In her own words:
My name is Lorraine Pacy and I’m a 37 year old artist from Massachusetts.
As a survivor of many difficulties I find nature and painting to be 2 great distractions from pain and unrelenting life circumstances. The beauty I see in nature reminds me of God and is a constant reminder of his love and inspiration.
I’ve always loved painting and drawing with kids. I especially love teaching my 6 year old son Liam and he’s really amazed me with his talent for painting Sesame Street characters.
I rarely paint from photos but mostly from memory or feelings and work with colors that were convenient and pretty to mix.
Just recently I began using oil paints and I’m still learning and practicing with the unique medium. That’s what I’ve used on all the paintings for Gormley’s Cafe.
We will be opening at 6:00 tonight for our first paint night with
