Phoenix Rising Pizza

It’s with great sadness that we announce the permanent closure of the Phoenix Rising Pizza/ Crispy Square Pizza Co truck.

As many of you know, we’ve been working tirelessly on this idea for the past 8 years and the last thing we wanted was for it to end. Although we did achieve some great traction with both concepts, each had it’s own challenges that we were unable to overcome. This past year had us deal with: broken hands, surgeries, transmission replacement, leaf springs replacement, generator replacements and the list goes on. But most recently the rise in food/consumables costs has eroded our margins to the point that we’d either have to make serious compromises on the quality of ingredients or raise prices further - which we were not willing to do.

Over the years you all have entrusted us with some of the most important moments in your life. We’ve been a part of countless weddings, graduations, birthdays, and celebrations of all kinds. We delivered on those commitments with the highest level of excellence which we’ll always be proud of.

We have so many customers who have endured long wait times, lost orders, incorrect orders etc. Overwhelmingly, people have been kind and patient with us and we appreciate that. So many of our customers evolved from customers to genuine friends - we’re truly grateful to have met you all.

Of course, we must also thank our Navigation Brewing Co. family. We were so lucky to have a chance encounter with PJ early on that quickly led to an opportunity to serve at Navigation on a weekly basis. This proved to be the most enduring relationship we formed. Early on we would make 30 pizzas on a Friday night, but with consistency we eventually had nights where we served over 220 pizzas. We’ll certainly miss the pizza Fridays at Navigation as well as the beertenders and wonderful customers.

Finally, I’d like to thank my family for the incredible sacrifices they made over the years to bring this from an idea to reality. Making high quality pizza, in a truck in wildly fluctuating New England weather is no easy task. Everyone in my family buckled down and became experts in the discipline and grinded it out, year after year. I’ll forever be indebted to them for these sacrifices.
