On Friday, December 15, our beloved founder, CEO, and chairman of the board for Betenbough Companies, Rick Betenbough, finished his race and met his Savior face-to-face. We know he was greeted with, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Each one of us has been blessed by Rick, and his presence will be deeply missed. He was a tenacious entrepreneur who dared to disrupt the typical home-building practices in Lubbock and start Betenbough Homes, a company that focuses on bringing value to a community he loved so dearly. The work he began in 1992 has spread across the West Texas region and into other industries while the message of viewing work as a ministry now spans the globe. His legacy is helping coworkers and friends understand their true identity and encouraging them to stand up in their calling. That pursuit leaves a global impact, which the Lord continues to multiply beyond anything imaginable in our natural understanding.

Rick was an obedient and faithful servant who taught us what it looks like to wholly submit your life to the Lord.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day and not only me but also to all who have loved his appearing.” – 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Rick fought and ran to the very end. He left us better and stronger, ready to continue this next leg of the race and to fight the good fight before us. Thank you for your love, support, and grace during this difficult time.

These ladies learned new ways to improve processes, hone in on things we are doing well, and all the latest industry trends. We always make sure to prioritize time for fun, too!

Some days we are just amazed at the great folks we have the pleasure of meeting and spending time with in our work. Today was one of those days for David. He flew to Texas to be a part of a private event hosted by the Betenbough Company. They are doing amazing work in the world, and reflecting Christ in what they do.

They invited David to come speak to their employees about Raising Emotionally Strong Kids and it was humbling to see the intentional way they are investing in the lives of their staff. They fed them, offered child-care and created this rich opportunity for learning that brought parents from different parts of the state together. It was a gift to be a part of the time, and to see the way this organization is serving and supporting their employees.
