Holy Spirit was founded in 1998 and housed in the Knight's of Colombus Hall amongst cotton fields. Since then, cotton fields have turned to concrete roads and southwest Lubbock has exploded in growth, as has the need for a Catholic parish in this area. We currently have over 1200+ families registered with a thriving CCE religious education program of 300 kids, a Edge Jr. CYO program of 100 plus vi

The beautiful marble statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary was placed in the prayer garden this morning!

We are anxiously waiting for the gates to officially open and the landscaping to begin. The statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will be placed in the center between the two columbaria. The wall along 98th St. is scheduled to be built soon.
Bishop Coerver will officially bless our prayer garden on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
Roman Catholic Diocese of Lubbock
The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is on Thursday, August 15th. We will have Masses at 7:30 AM, 12:15 PM, and 7:00 PM. Our Vigil Mass will be on Wednesday, August 14th at 7:00 PM.

Our Story
Holy Spirit was founded in 1998 and housed in the Knight's of Colombus Hall amongst cotton fields. Since then, cotton fields have turned to concrete roads and southwest Lubbock has exploded in growth, as has the need for a Catholic parish in this area. We currently have over 1200 families registered with a thriving CCE religious education program of 300 kids, a Jr. CYO of 100 plus vibrant youth alive for Christ, and a model Sr. CYO program with outstanding high school students living for the word of God and serving the Lubbock community through service projects. We have over 50 organizations including an Adult Bible study Sunday's at 9:15, Women's Bible Study, Crusillos movment, and the FAMOUS Footsteps in Faith Conference featuring Dr. Hahn in held HERE annually in February. We even have a Zumba classs! Try us out this Sunday, and be welcomed home to Christ through the Eucharist at Mass: Saturday, 5PM, Sunday 8AM or 10:30AM.
