Madison Heights has declared a SNOW EMERGENCY effective Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 6:00 PM. Please remove any vehicles parked on the streets. All vehicles MUST be removed from the streets within six (6) hours of the time that the emergency is declared. Under the City’s Ordinance, vehicles remaining on the roadway after this time may be ticketed, towed, or both. The snow emergency will remain in effect until the streets are cleared from curb to curb or until terminated by the City. Thank you for your cooperation.

CITY SERVICE UPDATES:
Due to the winter storm, our departments would like to share the following updates for the safety of staff and the community:​
•Parks & Recreation and Library programs have been canceled for Wednesday (2/2) and Thursday (2/3).
•All non-emergency buildings will open at 10:00 AM on Thursday (2/3) to allow staff the opportunity to avoid morning rush hour traffic and arrive to work safely.

The City of Madison Heights has activated our Cooling Centers for Wednesday, August 25th, 2021, at the Madison Heights Public Library and Madison Heights Active Adult Center.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting elevated temperatures for our area today.
Temperatures are expected to reach and slightly exceed 90 degrees, pushing heat indices into the upper 90s to near 100 degrees.
The Active Adult Center is located at 29448 John R Rd, and the Library is located at
240 W 13 Mile Rd. Both will act as a cooling center today due to the high temperatures during regular business hours. For alternates to public cooling centers, consider visiting a movie theater, congregation, or shopping mall.

Hours for the cooling center:
Library: 10 AM - 5 PM.
Active Adult Center: 9 AM - 3:30 PM.

The City of Madison Heights has declared a Snow Emergency effective at 12:00 am on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. To allow for the most efficient clearing of the snow, and for the safety of our operators as well as the public, please remove any vehicles parked on the streets. All vehicles must be removed from the streets within six (6) hours from the time that the snow emergency goes into effect per the City’s Ordinance. Therefore, vehicles must be off the streets by 6:00 am on Tuesday morning. Vehicles remaining on the roadway after this time may be ticketed, towed, or both. The snow emergency with remain in effect until the streets are cleared from curb to curb, or until terminated by the City. Your cooperation is sincerely appreciated.
