Happy Halloween from all of us here at the Madison Heights Police Department. Don't forget, Trick or Treating is a fun time for all but please help to keep it safe for everyone. Slow down and be alert! Kids are excited on Halloween and may dart into the street. Turn on headlights early in the day to spot kids from further away. Remind kids to cross the street at corners or crosswalks. If you are out Trick or Treating, cross the street at corners, using traffic signals and crosswalks. Look left, right and left again when crossing and keep looking as you cross. Put electronic devices down, keep heads up and walk, don't run, across the street. Teach children to make eye contact with drivers before crossing in front of them. If you see anything suspicious, please call us at 248-585-2100.
