Through our growing space in Eagle Heights, we strive to educate the UW community about the relationship between people, land, and food.
We offer numerous learning experiences, from workshops to daily garden hours in the summer. We also hand out free produce during the summer! Dates and times for 2021 coming soon.
Looking for a summer internship? F.H. King is looking for people to participate in our summer garden internship program running from June 1st to August 17th! Spring is here! To kick of this season of new growth, we will be celebrating by holding a Potpourri making workshop on March 29th at 6 p.m. in the Student Activity Center room 3129. Potpourri is a fragrant collection of dried flowers that is often used to freshen the smell of rooms. Come join us to make your own and write affirmations to cultivate good energy this Spring. The Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service (MOSES) is holding an Organic Farming Conference in La Crosse, Wisconsin on February 25th and 26th! The conference will include workshops, talks given by keynote speakers, and general community building! Members of the F.H. King board will be in attendance, and for those interested in joining, there are scholarships available to cover the cost of registration through SARE! As the days get shorter, and the wintry night approaches, our farm grows sleepier by the day. There is still a lot to do to get them ready for their slumber, and we need your help to do it! So, we will be hosting a workday this Sunday, November 7th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Eagle Heights Community Gardens. You can get out there by walking, biking, bussing, or driving if you have access to a car. Bring food, water, and friends to come and tuck in the farm for their big sleep! See you all there!

FCF is a program powered by student volunteers who pick up food waste from local restaurants and deliver it to our farm in Eagle Heights where it is added to our compost pile.
