We have some incredibly heartwarming news to share with you all!
Despite the initial plans for tearing down our building and business, we're overjoyed to announce that we are STAYING OPEN!
Their decision not to move forward with their project has not only saved a building but also ensured the continuation of a cherished community hub and the livelihoods it supports.
We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all our incredible customers & team for your unwavering support! Your loyalty and patronage mean the world to us, and we wouldn't be here without you.
Let's continue this journey together & cheers to patio season 2024 & beyond.

UPDATE! The potential developer has a proposal to demolish the current Vintage Spirits & Grill site & the Campus Area Neighborhood Association (CANA) invites you to join us TOMORROW (Thursday, 1/4 at 7 pm) in Madison Municipal Building's Room 215 or on Zoom to tune in

Update:
The sale of our beloved Vintage seems to be going through Spring of 2024

What does that mean:
We will rent from the development group until they intend to start building their new apartments.

They have submitted a request for Vintage to be demolished May 2025

From what we know the city has not officially approved their plan for our space

✨until then please continue bringing in all of your positive energy to our beloved home at 529
University Ave!

Did you know Simon was the first to join on with us in 2002?
He said “I’ll work Tuesdays and see how it goes”

21.5 years later he has spent more hours in that building than any of us…
So he must have loved his Tuesdays!

Without Simon we would not be who we are today..
So now it’s time to return all the LOVE to Simon and support his new adventure.

a little update…

We do not own the property, we rent from a lovely family who actually had their family business here as well.
They received an offer for the property significantly higher than the value and an amount we just can not compete with.

& here we are…

We are not oppose to progress in our wonderful city. However, tearing us down to house 50 boutique apartments seems far from progress.

We are not looking to cause distruption, but simply have our voices be heard on the importance of keeping her safe on the corner.
A place where ALL are welcome, a home where we keep your bellies full & the laughter endless. An inclusive place where we understand the importance of community and non-profit involvement.

So… in the meantime, when you swing by please give the staff an extra smile. They are fighting the good fight all for the love of their job and a place they call home.

Thanks for teaming up with us DaneMAC! And a BIG thank you to everyone who participated in helping us raise money towards sexual assault resources & awareness!

During the month of April DaneMAC partnered with for S*xual Assault Awareness Month! VSG offered drink and food specials with proceeds donated to DaneMAC to support our mobile Forensic Nurse Examiner program, and wow, our community came through! VSG raised (and matched from their own pockets!) over $2000. Thank you Vintage Spirits and Grill for believing in our work and generously supporting us.

Here at DaneMAC we are committed to caring for survivors of gender-based violence. Our team of nurses cares for these survivors following an assault by providing physical and emotional care. These nurses are vital to the Madison community and empowering survivors through their healing.
