Leave No Trace Trainer Course!
WHO: All outdoor enthusiasts interested in Outdoor Ethics. Open to registered adult Scouters and older youth (14 and older).
WHAT: Two days of hands-on, experimental learning about
our effects on the outdoors and ways to avoid or minimize the impacts.
WHERE: Nobscot Scout Reservation, 1 Nobscot Road, Sudbury, Mass.
WHEN: May 4 & 5, 2024, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM WHY: Participants in the two-day course learn "Leave No Trace" skills, ethics, and techniques for educating others about these low-impact practices. Graduates of a "Trainer Course" are prepared to offer "Leave No Trace Awareness Workshops" to their troops, packs, posts, and crews. This course will significantly improve participants' knowledge and understanding of how "Leave No Trace" protects the outdoor places we love.

This course is to provide training for anyone wanting to be trained to be a Camp Health Officer. The training is split into two portions. The morning will be spent on learning the role of the Camp Health Officer. It will also include how to respond to an incident and finish with a review of the Camp Health Officer First Response Bag that is available for the Camp Health Officer. The afternoon is for those individuals who wish to be Camp Health Officers but who are not already CPR and First Aid certified. Participants in the afternoon session will receive their AHA CPR and First Aid certifications. The overall goal of the training is to increase the amount of qualified trained Camp Health Officers and have them sign off for the upcoming year of events.
