Shellback Tavern has again signed on to be one of the sponsors for the Manhattan Beach Fireworks show put on by Pete and Gwen's Moffett Productions. We signed on as a proud sponsor to thank the residents of Manhattan Beach for allowing us seating space along Ocean Drive during the Pendemic. We hope you enjoy the show!

Now there’s something you won’t ever see I hope . Although I’m sure there are some in the downtown community that would love to see a heliport put in on the pier LOL. 

An Australian Qantas 747, mistaking the extensive holiday lighting on Manhattan pier for LAX runway 25L, completed a successful short runway landing, much to the surprise of locals and tourists alike.

Australian tourists filed out of the aircraft into local bar Shellback Tavern , where they were devoured by local singles on account of their accents. Local legend & Shellback owner Bob Beverly, when asked about the incident said "Just another day in paradise at lands end".

This weekend, Sept 26 & 27th will be the end of our breakfast service. We will continue to open @ 9:30am with our regular menu served starting at 10:00am. We are still awaiting City of Manhattan Beach approval for an extending of our outside patio area.

Just a reminder that the Shellback will not be doing breakfast this weekend. We will still open at 9:30 with Food starting at 10 AM but only with our lunch menu. Our breakfast cooks are on vacation. Our regular breakfast menu will return next weekend. Thank you for your understanding.

Update on regular bar service re-opening. Although our Governor announced that bars could re-open Friday, L.A. County has not given approval yet. This means alcohol with food service only. So the past few weeks rules remain in effect.
