Manhattan Arts Center
Showcase for community art from Manhattan. Box office: 785-537-4420 noon-5.30pm Mon-Fri
Be part of the story! Auditions for the dark comedy "Daddy's Dyin', Who's Got the Will?" are coming up in December.
A brief synopsis of the show is below; full details about roles and performance dates are found at manhattanarts.org > Performance > Theatre.
(Audition forms will be posted online mid-November, but copies are available on-site the day-of.)
"Set in a small Texas town in anytime, USA, "Daddy's Dyin', Who's Got the Will?" concerns the reunion of a family gathered to await the imminent death of their patriarch, who has recently suffered a physically as well as mentally disabling stroke. It is not the story of the impending demise of the father or of the drafting of his will, but of a rebirth of the spirit of the family unit.
Without becoming ponderous, losing a sense of humor, the story is fast, delicious, with funny moments, tense moments, touching moments, and characters you care about."

Two brand-new opportunities to explore some fun creative mediums.
