Board President
Courtney Lackey Wilson releases statement:
Hidalgo is INELIGIBLE for school board election.
Jandel Crutchfield is the only QUALIFIED & ELIGIBLE candidate for Place 2.
As this week marks the beginning of the 88th Texas Legisative session, it is laudable that Representative David Cook spent time before session to meet with constituents on education issues.
On funding, he mentioned to constituents that the risk of “fracturing public schools” is a potential unintended consequence to school vouchers.

We are currently in 1 of 2 rounds of Runoff Elections this month. These are typically low turnout elections, partly due to voter fatigue & confusion in schedules.
The Runoffs for the Primaries ends today. There are a few State Office seats that are in the Runoffs because none of the candidates reached the required 50% majority. Then, if you reside within Mansfield ISD, the Runoffs for the School Board election starts June 6.
YOUR VOTE MATTERS!! Please take a few minutes of your time to vote today.
For today's Election, you must vote in the same Party Primary as you did in March: Republican or Democratic Party. You may also vote even if you did not vote back in the March.
If you voted in March, you must vote in the same Primary. For example, if you voted in the Republican Primary in March, you may vote only in the Republican Runoffs today. The same goes for if you voted in the Democratic Party Primary; you can only vote in the Democratic Runoffs.
You may view your ballot here: https://www.vote411.org/
You may bring written or printed notes with you into the polling sites. You may not use your phone once inside the voting area.

$180,000 for a school board race!
A Christian cellphone company’s PAC has given $500,000 to conservative candidates in typically sleepy school board races in Carroll, Grapevine-Colleyville, Keller and Mansfield school districts.
Patriot Mobile has invested $180,000 of that $500,000 into the Mansfield ISD school board elections!
Did you vote yet? If not, Saturday is your one last day to make your choice.
With piles of campaign cash, a Christian cellphone company is making North Texas school board races a state battleground In Tarrant County school districts, conservative PACs are responding to concerns of so-called critical race theory and pornographic content in schools with hundreds of thousands of dollars toward school board races.

As the new year approaches, know that Mansfield residents may or may not be voting in the same TX Senate District at the 2022 Primary Election in March, compared to the last election?
Texas lawmakers drew new maps for the state’s congressional, House, Senate and Board of Education districts. The redistricting process is done every 10 years, following new census data.
The biggest change for Mansfield is that we all used to be in Senate District 10, represented by State Senator Beverly Powell. After redistricting, we are split between SD 10 & SD 22. Senate District 22 is currently represented by Senator Brian Birdwell.
Both have filed for re-election in their corresponding district.
