Red River Charter Academy would like to clarify the reason for the cancellation of its school prom for this school year. Red River Charter Academy is committed to providing a great high school experience for all students. Only eight (-8-) students purchased tickets for the event despite students' knowledge of the event taking place since November 2023, and has also been advertised on our page. Students were reminded daily through school announcements for more than a month. The school and its board approved the purchase of the theme selected by students. Red River Charter was committed to providing students with an evening they would never forget. The school purchased decorations, refreshments, and a DJ to ensure the event would be successful. The goal and cost of tickets were never intended to make a profit; and would not have. The school regrets, and is very sorry for inconveniencing the parents and students who DID purchase tickets and/or attire for the event. In the spirit of transparency, should any parent or student have questions regarding any matter, we welcome you to contact the school during business hours.
