I love running on the beautiful trails we have throughout Maple Valley. Often my runs take me past the St. George Episcopal Church - Maple Valley, WA labyrinth. A few weeks ago during a stressful time I stopped to actually walk it and be quiet. They have five free events coming up! Meditative walks following a specific theme as well as a workshop all about connecting and contemplating in nature. Reach out to Rev. Myra Ryneheart Cocorran with any questions!

Chag Sameach! Passover, the week long holiday, began last night. The highlight of Passover is the Seder, observed on each of the first two nights of the holiday. The Seder is a festive meal that involves the re-telling of the Exodus through stories and song and the eating of ritual foods, including unleavened bread (matzah). Passover ends at Sundown April 30th.

Happy Eid! Tonight begins the Islamic festival marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. It is the first time Muslims can eat during daylight hours after fasting during Ramadan. The translation of “Eid al-Fitr” from Arabic sums up the holiday as it means “festival of breaking the fast.”
