This Sunday, we begin a new series: The Need for Followership.

Jesus Christ is the leader of our congregation, our home, our lives. And his leadership is perfect in every way. Therefore, when things are amiss in any of those arenas, what is needed is not better leadership, but better followership. In this series, we ask Christ to empower us with his Spirit so that we might better follow his lead. May we better reflect the beauty of his life, better make his priorities our own, and better serve our God and neighbor.

We hope you'll join us for worship this Sunday at 8:15 or 11 am to kick off this new series!

There are still a few items that are needed for the Blessing Bags that we are giving to Intown Lutheran Church to distribute to our friends without addresses.

Pastor Seifert spoke in his sermon last week about how blessed we are to have so many dedicated volunteers in our congregation. Those dedicated hours were very much on display today at the Women's Ministry Kick-off Brunch!

I see him in the clouds.
His eyes are there watching all the while.
He is never ever far.
The breeze blows gently.
The sunshine is bright.
The flowers are all blooming.
The birds, bees and butterflies are among us.
All the living creatures make us aware He is close by.
The full moon was spectacular over Raspberry Farm.
I felt the joy that filled so many hearts there.
I was absolutely giddy with overwhelming happiness.
I love reconnecting with dear Christian friends I have known for years.
I am incredibly thrilled to meet new Christian friends.
Whether we communicate or just share a glance or space, you better believe our souls make a connection.
Cherish the friends you made at camp.
God put them on your path of life for a reason.
Friends get us through the good and bad times in life.
Christian friends are even better for God is their life force.
Jesus sacred blood binds us together.
There is not greater love than God’s love.
You all need to come to the Christian Disciple Farm Camp.

Do you see him?
His eyes, nose, mouth, chin, brow, and hair.
He is there!

Tomorrow we begin a new Bible Study Series in our Thursday morning Bible class based on Prof. Daniel Deutschlander’s book, “The Narrow Lutheran Middle Road.”

The Lutheran approach to theology isn’t to “find the middle” by compromising God’s truth. Instead, our study examines the two non-Biblical extremes that man keeps falling into, and finding the “middle way” that the Bible teaches. Class participants don’t need to order the book to take part in the discussion, but may enjoy doing so.

A new Basics-of-the-Bible class begins September 15th!

Our "Bible Basics" course is exactly what it sounds like -- a chance to learn the basic teachings of the Bible, from the Bible. The course is designed for people who are interested in learning about the Christian faith, looking to connect with a church home, or just looking to refresh what they believe by studying the basic teachings of the Bible.

Classes are held at Beautiful Savior on Sunday mornings between our services at 9:45 am, beginning September 15th. (Private lessons are available upon request.) Our Women in the Word Bible Study returns tomorrow night! Join us for an evening of looking at how Christ defines our lives as we begin a new series called "Rejoice in the Lord."
