Please join us on Thursday, May 16, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Coles Courtyard as we celebrate our 2024 retirees, Kathy Smith and Kevin Tilley. Both Kathy and Kevin are retiring after 22 years of service at Walker where they impacted the lives of countless students and families! Also, one of our families is putting together memory books for Mrs. Smith and Mr. Tilley. Letโs send these special teachers off with a heartwarming tribute. Email Katlin Seger at [email protected] with any pictures or special memories you have with out retirees.
Congrats, Hunter!
Congratulations to Walker Alum Hunter Nourzad '18! From Walker to Cornell to Penn State to the Chiefs. So excited for this amazing young man!
Walker alum Charlie Condon (Class of 2021) is crushing the ball at the University of Georgia. Charlie, not highly recruited out of Walker, is now projected to be a top pick, if not THE top pick, in Julyโs MLB draft and is being compared to top major leaguers. This article from ESPN captures all of the hard work Charlie has put in to get where he is today.
'No one saw this coming': How the potential 2024 No. 1 MLB draft pick almost didn't play college baseball Georgia baseball star Charlie Condon is only two home runs away from breaking Georgia's career home run record.
We are now accepting nominations for the Walker School Athletics Hall of Fame. Athletes are eligible five years after graduation, so please nominate Walker athletes who graduated on or before the Spring of 2019. Nominees must have exhibited excellence in their academic and personal lives during and after their Walker School years. Service to The Walker School will be taken into consideration. Nominees must have achieved a significant level of success in high school in their respective sport as determined by the Committee. Outstanding athletic achievement after high school will be considered.

Walker welcomed two alumni back to campus recently. Caroline (Kunetz) Tillman ('14, left) is the co-owner of The Reading Attic located on the Marietta Square. On March 2, The Reading Attic hosted a book signing for alum Jerry Logan's ('03, right) new book "Unbracketed: Big-Time College Basketball Done the Right Way". Caroline and Jerry were welcomed back by the Upper School students in an assembly where they had a fireside chat.
We were able to catch up with both alums and hear about how they are both following their dreams. You can read the article here: https://www.thewalkerschool.org/news-detail?pk=1577440&fromId=308611.
Support and celebrate two Walker alumni tomorrow, March 3, from 1-2 p.m. at The Reading Attic. Jerry Logan, Class of 2003, will be signing and talking about his books โUbracketedโ and โThe Cinderella Strategy.โ The Reading Attic is owned by Walker Alum Caroline Kunetz, Class of 2014. It is located at 21 West Park Square on Marietta Square above Tiny Bubbles Tea Bar. See you there!
Congrats, Grace!
Walker Alum ('21) Grace Koutouzis scored her 100th career point for the Roanoke Maroons! 2nd Team ODAC All-Conference last season, she already has 7 goals and 1 assist in just two games this season. Congratulations, Grace!
Earlier this week, we welcomed alumna Maddy Meiser '20 back to campus! Maddy spoke to the Walker World Health Organization (WWHO) about her journey in public health, her time at GCSU, and her next step in attending the University of Georgia to pursue her MPH.
