This upcoming Sunday in the Gospel reading we hear, "When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd,

Paul taught the Ephesians that, in Jesus' death and resurrection, Jesus established peace and reconciliation between all believers, Jews, and Gentiles alike.
How do you know you are at peace with a friend or loved one?
At this time, are you praying for peace and unity in our communities?
See st-ann.org/events.
In yesterday's Gospel, we hear about how Jesus taught the apostles to preach and heal only in places where they were welcomed. Do you recall a time or a place where you felt truly welcomed? Do you tell friends and family how welcoming our St. Ann parish is?
INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK —
Jesus sends his disciples into the world with no money or provisions — just as he sends us. But make no mistake — he has given us everything we need: the strength that comes from faith in Christ, and the will to do what God has asked. Let’s get to work!

Faith in Action: High school teens attended 2 different mission trips during June. 20 high school junior and seniors flew to El Salvador and partnered with Unbound to build 3 houses in Ataco. But, this experience was about so much more than building homes. It was about pouring love and light into the families and communities they served. After long, hot days of hard work, it was the missionaries who walked away so richly blessed and better people for the love they received from the community. Plans are already underway for a return trip in 2025.
The following week 24 freshmen and sophomores traveled to Whitesville, WV. There was not a lack of work to be done in this little town in rural Appalachia. Our teens helped tear down and build new decks and ramps, replace flooring, doors and windows, replaced water heaters, toilets and showers, and made lasting relationships with the residents they helped.
July brings our last high school mission trip as 27 different teens will travel to Montgomery, AL. Please keep them and the adult chaperones in your prayers for safe travels.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK —In the second reading this past weekend, Paul learned a “thorn in his flesh” that was given to him to teach him that God’s grace alone should be sufficient for his ministry. What are some obstacles in your life you have had to overcome?
