There are hundreds of seeds on this plant head. Hundreds of possibilities for new growth. Someone needs to hear this: there may be seasons when it seems like everything has died: a relationship, a dream, your health, a career, etc. Please know there is still hope! Just like this “dead” plant, there are hundreds of possibilities for new life to spring up from those places. No, it won’t look the same. Yes, it will require some breaking open and work. Still, life in abundance is available. First, you need to shift your focus from what things look like to what they could be if placed in God’s hands. Then, let God do what He does best; breathing life and creating masterpieces.

Do you like the traditional ketchup, mustard and relish on your hot dogs or are you more of a chili and onions kind of person? Tell us in the comments.

While others may run fast, you can just shuffle with perseverance. While others impress, you can simply press on. While others stop when things get dark, you can keep going through it. Why? Because the goal isn’t to be the fastest, to impress others or to give way to the darkness. The goal is to complete the course at your own pace, over time, with Jesus, the Light, as your Guide.

None of us have all the details worked out and thankfully, we don’t have to. That is why we gather each weekend, to trust God will show us the way or at least the next step to take. If you too could use a Life Guide who knows a lot about everything under the sun and loves you like crazy, then meet the rest of us at Eastside Church tomorrow at 11 am and we will follow Jesus together.

Suffering reveals what we’re made of. So, if you find yourself in a season of hardship, what is rising to the surface? Is it worry or trust? Hopelessness or faith? When placed in the right hands, obstacles and dark seasons can bring forth strength, endurance, and beauty. Will you let it?

Pay attention to the many aspects of Jesus’ life. Every single detail points to and reflects the character and heart of God. Each word, any posture He took, and all of the places and people He visited and met with were on purpose. Follow His example and you too will live with intentionality while on this journey.
