We celebrated a Corporate Communion Mass at 9:00 this morning for the St. Joseph Icon we are honored to have at the Church along with commemorating the Council’s establishment 64 years ago. It was great seeing all of the Brother Knights and their families together at this Mass. Vivat Jesus!

Sir Knights from our Council (and Assembly 2161) were honored to be part of the Honor Guard in the 70th Anniversary Mass for St. Joseph Catholic Church. Atlanta Archdiocese Auxiliary Bishop Bernard Shlesinger presided.

During the Council Business Meeting this Thursday at 7:30pm, our Field Agent Allen Bourne will be presenting to the Council information on retirement, estate planning and long term care. Knights of Columbus worldwide are praying for their brother Knights and families in Ukraine, where the Order has been present for nearly a decade — and counts more than 1,800 members in 40 councils across the nation. Pictured here are members of Blessed Nicholas Charnetsky Council 16848 in Zolochiv, Ukraine, praying during an 2020 event benefitting children with special needs. For the council’s various efforts assisting children with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other conditions, the Knights in Zolochiv received the Order’s International “Life” Program Award during the Order’s 138th Supreme Convention.

St. Vincent de Paul and the Council are partnering up to prepare Thanksgiving meal boxes for those families who need it. Thanks to everyone who came out this morning to put all of this together.

The Parish held Mass on September 18th at 8 am to commemorate the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children. The Mass was officiated by Father Quevedo. After Mass, a Rosary was held at the Knights Memorial for the Unborn outside the Narthex. Our Spiritual Advisor, Deacon Norm Keller, led the Rosary. Thank you to Brother Knight Jim Martin for organizing the event with the Respect Life Ministry, Deacon Norm and the Parish.
