Just a friendly reminder about the MC SPE tech session with CoreLab THIS Tuesday, December 5th starting at 5 PM in Brown 103 (downstairs classroom). Pizza will be provided before hand!

They'll be talking about a ton of interesting topics, including proppant tracers and logging, reasons why operators trace wells, and information on new and ongoing projects.

SPE will be hosting a movie night for the opening night of Deepwater Horizon down at the Odyssey Theater in Marietta on Friday, September 30th, for the 7:10 p.m. showing. SPE will cover the cost of admission, as well as a combo concession deal that gets you a small drink and a medium popcorn. Students need to bring their STUDENT ID with them so the theater can verify the expected number of students.

If you plan on seeing the movie with us, please let Alex Hofmeier know via email or text ([email protected] or 513-335-6165) by noon this Friday so we can contact the theater to let them know how many people to expect. If you already responded to the email last week about being interested, please still respond so we know that you will be coming. Also, to make getting everyone into the theater go as smoothly as possible, please plan on arriving at the theater by 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
