Celebrating Freedom, Culture, and Resilience

Today, we honor Juneteenth, an important moment in history marking the end of slavery in the United States. On this day in 1865, freedom was finally proclaimed to enslaved African Americans, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth became an official holiday in 2021!

As we celebrate and remember this day, we also recognize the contributions of Black artists to the world of ballet. Their stories, talent, and perseverance have enriched the art form and continue to inspire future generations.

Join us in celebrating the beauty of diversity and the strength of community. Let’s dance towards a future of equality and inclusivity. 🖤
